Baby Reid Turns 2. Okay so "Baby Reid" really isn't much of a baby anymore (ignore the pacifier in his hand). He is turning into such a silly little guy. He is still emotionally charged and has to take "breaks" in his room during fits just to calm down,. But he really has all of us wrapped around his little finger.especially his daddy. Reid's birthday fell on a Monday, which happens to be Ace's busiest day this semester, by far. So on Sunday we celebrated Reid! Reid's actual birthday was pretty uneventful.

I remember being worried about Reid before he was even born. I worried that he would get overlooked, neglected. How could the second child get as much of my love and attention as the first child? How could anything he did feel new and exciting? I felt kind of sad for this little boy who would come into a family with a pretty awesome toddler and big baby shoes to fill. Garret says the Darnedest things Part 2/ What is Mr. Reid up to? Ace and I were just saying the other day how fun our boys are right now. The little things I want to remember about Garret. Garret is getting so big so fast! I really just can't believe it. He is his own little person, learning new things so quickly and coming up with such unique and clever things. I'm pretty crazy about this fella and love learning new things right along side him. Here are a few of the funny things Garret has said lately:. Mom, I prayed for the sun to come out and it did! I've got Spring Fever.that means I'm excited for spring.". Mom, I drank the TIRE thing!

Garret's first soccer practice. Garret had his first soccer practice this week! Hard to believe he's already in cleats and shin guards. Bayfield has a great spring league that's open to 3-year-olds - though they don't really play games; it's more rotating around to different stations where they do things like dribble, shoot, and toss balls into the air using a big parachute. Ace and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary this month! Ace was great and planned a little 24 hr getaway to Pagosa Springs. We stayed in this rustic little cabin and sat around a campfire. Simple, but so fun. Actually I think it may have been my favorite anniversary celebration yet. Plus we hadn't even kissed yet. The little things I want to remember about Reid. Sweet Reid loves for his Mama to hold him. "Hold you" is heard at least a dozen times a day. It wouldn't be that hard if Reid wasn't getting just so heavy. If I can't hold him, sitting next to him or with him on my lap will usually do the trick. This little boy has a best friend and his name is Carter. October happened in a big way. One evening we took the boys to the Bayfield Elementary Fall Carnival. We had a great time and the boys looked super cute! The above picture is the cake walk that we did 4 times in order to get Garret the cupcakes he wanted. Every Halloween the Rec Center in Ignacio does what they call a Pumpkin Splash. It is actually quite simple. The kids can come to the pool, pick out a pumpkin to keep and they get to swim with it. Again simple, but so fun! I've got a golden ticket".

We have been visiting a lot of state parks and trying to enjoy as much of the outdoors as we can before the cold, sunless winter months set in.
