A satisfying, full-flavoured black brew with a good balance of malt, roast and fruit. Bittersweet flavours carry through to a dry finish. Nero is an unfined beer and is therefore suitable for vegans. In the declining days of 2013 we brewed Minerva, a new golden hoppy ale of 4.6%. The inspiration for this beer came through a Twitter conversation, through which Prof Mary Beard was, willingly, roped in to lend a certain amount of classical knowledge and feminine wisdom to our brewing day. Prof Beard and her son, Raph, helped with the brew, the pumpclip design, and contributed to a video which may see the light of day - later in 2014. The Milton Brewery, Cambridge Ltd.
