Come Join the Liederkranz! If you are a Greater Milwaukee man who:. Is interested in German culture. Appreciates an occasional glass of gemutlichkeit. The Milwaukee Liederkranz welcomes you! Our German men's chorus participates in weekly times of rehearsal and socializing, regular concerts and a year-long schedule of community singing opportunities. Liederkranz History / past members. Chronological History of a very Successful Singing Society -. The founding members of the Milwaukee Liederkranz, depicted at our 30th anniversary. 1888: Moved from our old home on State Street between 5th and 6th, and into a new location across the street on land owned by Milwaukee Liederkranz. 1888: 10th Anniversary (Stiftungsfest), a very good fest, was presented at a cost of $38.35. July, 1890: Trustees report that the Liederkranz is debt free with assets of $22,000.

MMC 160th Anniversary Celebration 2012. Governor’s Proclamation for MMC’s 160th Anniversary. Board and Department Chairs. Wisconsin Public Television’s new documentary on the polka traditions of Wisconsin was shown this month. It is really well done and a pleasure to watch. If you missed it, you can watch it online.
