We had come to see the Statue of Liberty, and the green lady beckoned to us from a very hazy distance – shimmering over the hot waters of the Hudson river. Did I tell you that the day was August 15? It’s your special day, isn’t it? 8221; Amazing how they keep track! Two hours down and we entered the security check room. I have never been any happier to go through the x-ray machine!
