Ron's Conversations in Paint: December 2014
http://rongravel.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 16, 2014. Setting foot on new grounds! My last experiment was inconclusive, but in an attempt to make a half-step forward with at least something, I painted a face haphazardly with Chinese black ink on rice paper. I hadn't touched black ink for 7 years! I then pasted the torn rice paper on cotton/linen and added glazes of transparent and semi-transparent colors with acrylics. The result agreed with me! Friday, December 5, 2014. Starting a new one with an idea in mind. NEW - View video o...

http://babynomel.blogspot.com/2005_03_27_archive.html
Only this blog will eventually tell. Thursday, March 31, 2005. A photo that has been the subject of many speeches in Toastmasters. Posted by Meandering Shawarma @ 1:46 PM. An officemate matter-of-factly told me not to wear all-black. I asked him why but he just would not explain. I am not sure if it was religion or some cultural woodoo-voodoo that prompted my colleague to tell me that but I do still enjoy an all-black fashion despite forecasts against it. Posted by Meandering Shawarma @ 1:44 PM. This one...

Ron's Conversations in Paint: "Tourbillon" - taking another slant on the wild side!
http://rongravel.blogspot.com/2015/04/tourbillon-taking-another-slant-in-wild.html
Wednesday, April 8, 2015. Tourbillon" - taking another slant on the wild side! I finished the previous painting with my usual tri-dimensional deconstruction technique. The previous version was fine, however, something in me wants to pursue a more visceral approach. The balancing act between the two approaches is exciting to me! PS Although I've tried different deconstruction approaches over the last few years, I seem to be coming back to this one. so why fight it! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
