Waking early this morning to the sound of the birds bopping around, a new project and surprising colourway jumped into my head. Surprising because I’ve had this packet of firepolished beads for some time but don’t actually like them very much. Opaque’s not really my thing. So I kept the idea at the back of my mind until the alarm went off, then got up to try it out. And, of course, it’s really pleasing. When will I ever learn?

Now, you wouldn’t change your job or buy a house whilst under the influence, so why oh why do we think its going to be possible to meet Mr Right whilst we are drunk. Mr Right now, maybe. After 71/2 years of going almost nowhere alone, I was presented with the opportunity to go out with friends. I was quite looking forward to it, when I embarked upon a conversation with one of my oldest friends. She gave up drinking a long time since and suggested going to the pub was a really bad idea. Drink and negative emotions don’t mix well.

This month, I almost forgot. That’s a good thing – right? Today, I’m 22 months single. That’s almost 2 years and I feel like I’m out of the other side of it. So much for it takes you the same amount of time to recover as you were in the relationship. Could it be that I took the time to grieve properly? Liked by 1 person.
