And so I wrote about it. And I felt GOOD about it. And I wanted everyone I knew to DO IT WITH ME! And I marveled at how SURE I was I’d NEVER have a chemical packet of artificial sweetener or a diet soda EVER AGAIN! And I was HAPPY about it. I started losing interest. And I couldn’t quite bounce back from Thanksgiving. No, it was just a lethargy that took over. Are You an Artist? A painter, a sculptor or crafter of beauty. A singer, a dancer or maker of music,. A magician of words, a teller of tales, a master of the senses,. Surely, these are artists. Do you extend life with a scalpel, an army, a microscope, a touch? Are you a good father? Does ‘good’ matter to this conversation? Ah, the fly-fisher. Now that’s an artist, isn’t it? What about the mailman, the clergyman, the Santa-man? Today, I’m wondering about such matters. What makes an artist? Am I an artist?

It’s a positive step towards the cleaning out and eventually selling of my home. I suppose what strikes me most is how diligent I must be, staying focused and keeping my eye on the prize.
