https://athleticarchivist.wordpress.com/2010/04/01/experiments-in-progress-and-upcoming
Experiments: In Progress and Upcoming. I’ve started or will be starting on two experiments this week–one related to running and one related to cooking. (I know, I know. Try to contain your shock.). Experiment One: Running and Workout Intensity. After some advice from a high school classmate who has coached at running camps (if you’re reading this, hi Sarah! Monday: Total rest day. Let’s take this outside… | The Athletic Archivist
https://athleticarchivist.wordpress.com/2010/03/23/lets-take-this-outside
Let’s take this outside…. I’m a morning person, which means I loathe Daylight Saving time. I like to get up, work out, and have breakfast/coffee so I’m fully awake by the time I get to work (or, on weekends, so I can finish my chores/errands before everyone else is even up). We were finally to the point where the sun was. My stupid, fussy stomach. Messing up my sleep schedule. So, the wrap-up for the week…. Yesterday, I did seven miles (bringing my total for the week to 20! To TrackBack this entry is:.

It’s still my kind of town… | The Athletic Archivist
https://athleticarchivist.wordpress.com/2010/01/27/its-still-my-kind-of-town
It’s still my kind of town…. I ended up spending the better part of last weekend gallivanting about town with one of my fun and fabulous Michigan friends, and we managed to have a blast while still keeping it relatively low-key. Highlights included a tasty early Mediterranean dinner at Andies. Overall, I would say my first attempt at hosting a guest in the city went well. I even managed to give Lindsay accurate directions from my apartment to Union Station without the aid of Google Maps. The only...In ot...

https://athleticarchivist.wordpress.com/2010/02/28/i-think-this-makes-me-an-official-card-carrying-hippie
I think this makes me an official card-carrying hippie. I’ve gotten into a big rut with my morning snack (a Trader Joe’s or Stoneyfield Farms lowfat fruit yogurt cup and half an ounce of almonds) lately, so I thought I’d try plain fat-free yogurt with granola to add some sweetness and healthy fat. After having finally gotten my very own copy of. The Joy of Cooking. Thanks, Katie and Robbie! Getting the oats ready to bake:. Walnuts, flaxseeds, sunflower seeds, and cinnamon:. I was really happy with how th...

On Learning to Lighten Up | The Athletic Archivist
https://athleticarchivist.wordpress.com/2010/03/03/on-learning-to-lighten-up
On Learning to Lighten Up. I apologize in advance for what is an uncharacteristically introspective weight-loss related post with absolutely no photos. Feel free to skip it if it’s not your thing and rest assured that the next one will contain either recipes or photos/other forms of geeking out over my soon-to-be-procured running shoes.😉. Why, then, did I find myself compulsively tracking my food in SparkPeople. Again for the past two weeks? Than of numbers (though I admit the numbers were always there,...

Eat Your Heart Out, Martha Stewart. Today I managed to bake my first unsupervised loaf of bread from scratch (I did take a sprouted grain bread class once, but that was totally different), assembled the long-awaited wall mosaic, and replicated my mom’s pot roast for dinner. I now present a photo entry in three parts. On January 17, 2010 at 3:48 am Comments (6). New Year, New Job, New City, New Blog.
