So as many of you already know, archer only has one ear. well, he has 2, but one is underdeveloped with no ear canal. anyway, my dad mentioned recently the same issue that i just noticed myself last night. But then this made me remember, that although i know he has pretty excellent hearing from his one ear, there are still some sensitive obstacles he has to deal with. Thursday, January 2, 2014. My child impresses me everyday. Mike and i took him to a sushi place. For dinner last night. he ate pickled cucumber, cucumber and avocado rolls, and tempura eggplant, zucchini, mushroom, and sweet potato. he even used chopsticks. I was so amazed at how much food he happily devoured. He has such sophisticated taste. What kind of food do your kids eat? He even tried on a tiny suit jacket. At Nordstrom on his own will. Monday, February 17, 2014. This song came on in the car tonight. A small and depressed voice from the back seat stated, "mom. that's a sad song.". I was really impressed with the fact that my 3 year old interpreted this song as sad. i mean, i already knew kids were very sensitive to emotions, and can pick up pretty well on their surroundings, but some adults even have trouble really listening to lyrics of songs. myself included. Monday, March 24, 2014. While cleaning up the house this morning, i set a plant on the kitchen counter. it had seen better days. poor plant was dry and brittle, no life left in it. Friday, June 27, 2014. Archer had an appointment with the audiologist today. and i couldn't be happier with the results. This time they tested both ears. Its obvious to us all, that archer has pretty great hearing from his left ear. we know that, because, he never stops talking. and he speaks pretty well, for any four-year-old. I have finally found out that he has hearing in his little ear too! He has severe hearing loss, but he does. Its nice to finally have some answers. Anyhow, there is time to decide.
