Mind the Knowledge Gap. ASC14 The Idiot, the Disengaged, The Counterpublic: Rethinking Audiences for Science Communication #W4. Australian Science Communicators National Conference 2014, 2nd – 5th February. This session was probably my favourite of the whole conference, perhaps because it raised questions of what we’re actually trying to achieve with science communication, particularly when dealing with ‘the disengaged’. Joan gave an overview of the term idiot. The term idiot, in Ancient Greece, was ...

Mind the Leap | One small step for the brain. One giant leap for the mind.
Meaning, Value and Life. Mind and A.I. One small step for the brain. One giant leap for the mind. Mind the Leap is changing. Once a blog to share ideas related to robotics, artificial intelligence, the brain and mind, and ethics, the format of content is now going to focus on pages of writing that undergo gradual development. These topics and others will be covered; however, the aim is now to produce a series of documents. Everything is subject to revision. Meaning, Value and Life. Mind and A.I.

lid in london | revolutions start with small victories
Revolutions start with small victories. I have returned to my LS blog. I should be packing right now, but i wanted to type this up before i forget the feeling, the anecdotes, the honor… of eating lunch and chatting with the first woman to sit on the supreme court bench. At first, i was not sure if photos were okay, so i took one rather clandestinely (or so i thought) between two classmates who stood as a shield. Fave prof on your left, director of programme to your right. I want to remember how hot i fel...

Life, love, traveling and other important stuff…. Adam Marcan: “We live in the age of distractions”. Our today’s interview is with Adam Marcan from a Czech project Naucmese.cz. Loosely translated as Let’s learn together). I came across one of his blogs by accident couple of months ago and he seemed like a guy we could have a lot to talk about with. What a coincidence that he was traveling in Southeast Asia at that time! My name is Adam Marcan and i am working at Naucmese.cz. It’s a project, where you can...

Mind The Little Things
Mind The Little Things. Thursday, November 9, 2017. So I've recently made a miniature room using some scrap wood. I plan to use it as a way to experiment and play with all my miniatures. Below are some pictures of a scene I was playing around with. The artwork is a picture I cut out from a magazine and mod podged to a piece of wood. The books are cut popsicle sticks with book adverts cut to fit. And the clock is another magazine cut out mod podged to a button. Friday, July 28, 2017. Shelf In A Box. Shabb...
