Friday, February 27, 2015. A Trip to Portland. The kids had some time off from school for President's Day so we spent a long weekend in Portland. Here are a few highlights from the trip:. The Portland zoo is great! With the exception of Dylan, we love to visit cemeteries. They are great for a little walk. There's usually nice trees and flowers to look at and we like to look for the oldest or more eccentric headstones. I have never seen anything like this before:. Next came brunch at the Screen Door.

Wednesday, February 18, 2015. Progress Has Been Made! I can't remember now because my mind has erased all memories to preserve my sanity, but I think I posted a before picture of the basement. Here's our basement now:. An office of my very own! I'm still happily arranging and rearranging, filling drawers and sticking magnets on my magnet board. It's super fun! And a wall full of bookshelves! We've mostly filled these shelves already but more are coming upstairs with phase 2 of the remodel! Pat on the back.

We walked over with my parents and Beth's family and sat down in a great spot and waiting for things to get going. Zach found some snails. And Ava made little habitats for them!
