This cake was great fun to plan–the perfect combination of pinterest overload and color coordination. everything about the reception site screamed “attention to detail,” and i hoped the bride would love the way her cake coordinated. four hours of flower work and some burlap ribbon rose contributions from my daughter added the perfect centerpiece for the beautiful hall. The perfect way to end a wedding weekend.

It was a busy cake weekend. and a busy cake, for that matter. but the fairytale wedding needed the fairy tale cake, with structural support added for the china on top, and the perfect carriage piped onto the middle tier (and two cutting tiers in the kitchen for good measure. There are times when i don’t want to put flowers in the cake…but you do what you have to do). Beauty and the beast wedding.

I always know when a new Avengers movie is coming…or what the current trend in kids’ animation is: i get 3 requests within one month for the same themed cake. it is tricky to come up with a way to make each cake unique. thankfully, kids tend to have a particular preference, and parents like to make their kids happy on their birthdays.
