Friday, May 18, 2007. I passed my Multi-Engine Instrument Rating flight test last weekend. It was a foggy morning with a little less than 4000 meters visibility. Legally, this was ok to take-off but to be on the safe side, the departure was delayed and we didn't commence the flight test until 1500 hours after the fog had well and truely lifted. And would you guess that Murphy's law took effect on test day as well! My friggin auto-pilot was causing some problems so I abandoned its use for most of the flig...

Volunteering Abroad with VSO. January 10, 2017. January 11, 2017. The weather was a pleasant 26 degrees. The first day we spent strolling around a fantastically colorful market that rotates between 5 larger villages. We discovered a great Cafe called Sprouting Seeds which supplied us with amazing home cooked food and drinks. Jim, the american owner runs an orphanage for 150 children and helps fund it via the cafe. I am constantly in awe and being inspired by incredible people i meet. December 26, 2016.
