Tuesday, June 7, 2011. We finally have another boy in the family! And he's turning 5 today! His name is Aravind and he lives in India. Kenzie met him last summer and knew he was 'the one' for us (to sponsor and love). He has the cutest little smile, see? He's shy at first (so I'm told). But after a bit, his spunky side comes out. He loves to play on the playground. He's working hard at school, too, learning his letters and numbers. He is quite an excellent color-er! Because so many in India still believe.

Wednesday, March 16, 2011. The Ice Castle (part 3). There are many ways to enjoy ice fishing. The slightly less miserable way. This guy must enjoy ice skating when no one is looking). The way we went ice fishing -. In Uncle Doug's brand spankin' new. Doesn't she look warm and comfy? First we stopped to pick up a little fresh bait. Then we pulled out onto "Fish Lake" (catchy name, huh? I'm not gonna lie - it was kind of unsettling to Abbie and I. That we were standing (much less driving cars! While we fis...

Saturday, May 15, 2010. Boys vs. Girls. Just for end-of-season fun, MVHS Lacrosse players held a Boys vs. Girls game. The girls started out super competitive as the boys struggled to play by the girls' game rules using the girls' sticks (boys are used to having a much deeper pocket to hold the ball). They'd shoot and be shocked when the ball would sail high over the goal.or lose the ball and not know it, but still take shots with nothing in their stick. Here's a few of Abbie's favorite and loyal. That bo...

Friday, October 15, 2010. Abbie chose $money$ in lieu of a party for her 16th birthday (thanks, abs :-). But somehow the festivities kept popping up all week long! Her friends surprised her at lunch with b-day sunglasses and a 'watermelon' cake. It happened to be a spirit day at MVHS - hence the crazy red/gold clothes). She and Torra fueled up at at In 'n Out. On the way to celebrate some more at Disneyland. On an early-out day from school! G'pa and G'ma took her out to dinner one night,.

Become more and more. We have the "Mormal". We old folks, still call it Spring Formal). Anyhow, Kenzie went last weekend and had a lot of fun! Thought I'd share a few pix. Kinda looks like a wedding picture. Don't worry - it's not. She's got some stuff to do before that comes along. Like go to dress-up birthday parties.

Was involved in putting this event on,. So my day/evening was spent decorating, chaperoning and cleaning up. Was feeling like a craft,. But, just think...

Tuesday, June 22, 2010. Porter's 4th grade class. Treated us to a 'tragic musical comedy' version of. Shakespeare's MacBeth this morning. Porter dutifully did his 30-seconds on stage and said his two words,. While sporting his kilt (do NOT call it a skirt). But the MINUTE that was "over with". To his preferred role as tech support. And there's nothing like sharing a little expertise. With your two adoring grandmas. Couldn't resist adding this pic in as a bonus . . . At least he had the legs for it :-).
