Minimalist Cardigan Knit-A-Long: September 2007

http://minimalistcardigankal.blogspot.com/2007_09_01_archive.html

A KAL for the Mini Cardi from the Fall 2007 issue of Interweave Knits. Monday, September 24, 2007. Finished and Very Pleased. This was such an enjoyable project. (Never did I think I would say that about so much moss stitch! Because my pattern pieces were somewhat distorted, I blocked them all before sewing up. Live stitches at the top of the shoulders would have been a good idea but the seam turned out very tidy anyway. I think the blocking also helped reduce the curling on the lapel. Having a Knit Fitt.

Minimalist Cardigan Knit-A-Long: December 2007

http://minimalistcardigankal.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html

A KAL for the Mini Cardi from the Fall 2007 issue of Interweave Knits. Saturday, December 8, 2007. Finished and worn a while. I have worn the sweater quite a bit. I love it. The drape is nice. The overall weight is pleasant for when it is chilly. Highly recommend this sweater if you are looking for a very versatile cardigan and aren't afraid of moss stitch. :). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Minimalist Cardigan Knit-A-Long: another FO to add

http://minimalistcardigankal.blogspot.com/2007/11/another-fo-to-add.html

A KAL for the Mini Cardi from the Fall 2007 issue of Interweave Knits. Friday, November 30, 2007. Another FO to add. Mine is done as well! I even wore it today. Unfortunately, no one was around the take pictures when I put it on, so I give you the picture-of-self-in-the-mirror-without-flash version in all its glory. Aurora 8 in turquoise. Needles: size 7 straights. Size: 35.5, but I should have made 34. More of the saga of the sweater on ravelry under twiceknit and soon to be on my blog. Another FO to add.

Minimalist Cardigan Knit-A-Long: My wrap-up

http://minimalistcardigankal.blogspot.com/2007/11/minimalist-cardigan-wrap-up.html

A KAL for the Mini Cardi from the Fall 2007 issue of Interweave Knits. Monday, November 26, 2007. Color "Chestnut" (109 yards per ball), 7.2 balls. US 4 Knitpicks Options circular needles (32"). I also chose to add additional length (a half inch) to the fronts and backs (it has been my experience that sweaters are often too short on me if I don't add a couple of inches, at least). This turned out to be a bad idea. After blocking it was too long/too big looking in general:. While they look nice just sitti...

Skrilla Knits: UGH.

http://skrillaknits.blogspot.com/2007/09/ugh.html

Knitting has long been considered antiquated, something for grandmas and whipped little housewives. That just isn't true. Knitting is one of those minute to learn, lifetime to master deals, and I'm in it for the long haul. FIRST of all, thank you so much for the lovely comments on the Gallery Jacket. Has arrived and it is quite beautiful. I can't wait to see how the pattern works out for people. The garment has been cat-nap tested and approved:. This is my Minimalist Cardigan. To be honest, this wouldn't...

There are many types of survival shelters, but they mostly serve one basic purpose, and it isn’t to have an attractive home for the night. There might be some psychological value to certain styles, and there may ocassionally be a need for protection from animals, but the primary purpose of a survival shelter is to keep you from losing body heat. 1 It blocks the wind.

Minimalist Chic Life

2017 (looking ahead goals). January 3, 2017. Twenty seventeen is already shaping up to be an eventful year. First off, we have at least 8 weddings to attend (possibly more). For 2017, one of my goals is to finally post that studio apartment tour video I’ve been working on. Another goal is to scan all printed photographs that don’t have digital copies. So ...Played ...
