mining the nooks: August 2014
http://miningthenooks.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Hacking my system of visual palavering. Thursday, August 7, 2014. Illustration for Undermarket Data, written by An Owomoyela. The white flag, stained grey from rain and city grime, called him halfway up a block of flats to a job. People like him didn’t have territories, but this—inconvenient from the streets and rooftops both—was as close as it came to his: the space where it was easier for those who preferred to move in three dimensions than two." Undermarket Data. Written by An Owomoyela.

mining the nooks: UNCANNY MAGAZINE!
http://miningthenooks.blogspot.com/2014/10/uncanny-magazine.html
Hacking my system of visual palavering. Monday, October 20, 2014. First a little about WHY Lynn Thomas and Michael Damian Thomas are hurling space unicorns everywhere. As one bright woman in the letter column opined, even mythical creatures in space need to hang out with other friends on occasion to swap and discuss great stories. Here's the table of contents for issue 1. And now. COVER REVEAL! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Sitting in the dark with my sketchbook, mining all the nooks and crannies.

This is not an owl. The Future Fire Interview: Kathryn Allan. Where should stories begin? Wendy N. Wagner. This is not a tag cloud. Bad and sad stuff. Haiku of the Day. Tell a Stranger They're Beautiful Tuesday. I’ve been thinking a lot about spirituality lately, especially after attending Ostara rites with Reclaiming LA a few weeks ago. Some folks have asked elsewhere what it means to identify as paganish-Quaker, and after my long years as a UU pagan, that’s a very good question. Be Sociable, Share!

This is not an owl. The Future Fire Interview: Kathryn Allan. Where should stories begin? Wendy N. Wagner. This is not a tag cloud. Bad and sad stuff. Haiku of the Day. Tell a Stranger They're Beautiful Tuesday. The Social Media Fast. This past week, I chose to spend 7 days off Twitter as part of a “reading deprivation” exercise. Mining the Obvious
Monday, July 15, 2013. I don't know that this will really be a post. More like a toe dipped back in the water to test the temperature. I can't believe my last entry was way back in January. That's just sad. And it was all about me. Ugh. Whose idea was that? I still like blogging though, or at least I can still see the value. I just kinda hate Blogger. It just won't seem to do what I want it to, or maybe I'm not at all clever. I worry it's the latter. For both better and worse, it has been quite a year.
