Lilac vine – minitreebonsai

https://minitreebonsai.wordpress.com/2015/06/06/lilac-vine

June 6, 2015. December 30, 2015. Old shohin Parthenocissus in training. This one was layered of a 60 year old specimen this Spring. Below another shohin firethorn in bloom and berries to follow. Below an imported Satsuki which was a very weak plant when first imported a couple of years ago, the apex was lost as you can probably tell from the photo. Now gaining vigour and flower buds ready to open its unlikely that any of the branches on this tree will remain in the long term. The diameter of the Sun.

March 8, 2015. April 2, 2015. 15 mame/shohin trees repotted today into better substrates and pots. Little surprised to see that this future bonsai triple trunk Berberis has only rooted on one side of the trunk during layering. This happens quite often with maples but Berberis are usually 100% You can see the thick layer of callous but no roots on 70% of the trunks circumference. Another mini Pyracantha bonsai in the making with an adequate radial root base. A force of nature. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

April 2, 2015. April 3, 2015. A “synergy” defined is the interaction or cooperation of two or more organizations, substances, or other agents to produce a combined effect greater than the sum of their separate effects. A few years back I became frustrated with the amount of growth I was cutting off my field grown trees. I toyed with the idea of layering shoots of 4mm diametre but soon discarded it due to workload. I just don’t like waste. And above, the result on a field grown trident branch in 2 years.

Hello and Welcome to my blog I have been growing little trees for a number of years now and this blog will serve to record the progression of them. The site is basic and I aim to keep it as such, instead concentrating on each blogs content and keeping the focus on the trees. "A picture speaks a thousand words" I'll post plenty of photos and keep words minimal. Enjoy. March 25, 2016. March 28, 2016. Apologies for the lack of updates lately. Spring has been a very busy time! Is commemorated on Good Friday.
