I used to always use a boxed pancake mix to make pancakes and they usually turned out ok but then I found a recipe for 'Perfect Pancakes' in a favorite cookbook of mine so I gave it a try. We didn't know what we were missing! From Cooking With Confidence by Eunice Naomi Wiebolt). 2 1/2 cups low fat buttermilk. 2 Tbsp butter, melted. 2 tsp granulated sugar.

It just thawed this week but usually is still frozen at this time of year so the chance to set the record for jumping in this early was just something she couldn't pass up. Ava was quick to want to join in as soon as she saw her sister do it. They can now share the family record together and be pretty confident that it will never be broken! Look at Avas face!

Since my last post it has been impossible to sit down and write I don't consider my New Year's resolution to be a total loss but close. As many bloggers know it is hard to post on a regular basis. I finally forced myself to sit and write. It may look like jibberish but at least I will have written. A terrible upper respiratory infection. Finishing school took away my energy. Saturday, September 27, 2008. Before we left Asheville Mark and I went to the Biltmore Estate "America's Largest Home". It took 6 years (1895) to build this home that sits on 125,000 acres, 4 acres of floor space, 250 rooms, 34 bedrooms, 43 bathrooms and 65 fireplaces. Christine, Stephanie, Jamie and Danielle. Ceremony on the terrace. Big Ritchey, Ritchey and Patrice. Wedding Party 10 groomsmen, 9 bridesmaids. Last weekend our friends Ritchey and Liz got married at the Grove Park Inn in Asheville, NC.
