A Piece of the Pyles. Just a little slice of life. 5 months {really} waiting. February 11, 2014. So, I totally forgot it was the 11th this time. I was in the kitchen, chopping up veggies for the meal I’d planned for dinner, when I realized it was our 5 month date. Turns out, I was already cooking an Ethiopian meal just because we’d been craving it! Love how that happened. We know God is faithful and he will bring our girl home at just the right time. We rest in that! Leave a Reply Cancel reply. You are c...

I feel like I’ve read some REALLY good adoption blog posts lately. Wanted to share a couple for anyone who’s interested…. To parent this girl, we just need to LOVE her, do our best, and trust that only God can heal her and he is faithful. Sister, you did an incredible job writing this! Why orphan care must be more than international adoption. Can’t bel...

A Piece of the Pyles. Just a little slice of life. April 26, 2015. The hardest year. But we made it! I have to admit, there were some moments it seemed impossible and I didn’t know if I could do it. As it turns out, I couldn’t not in my own strength. Not in our own strength. But we serve a mighty God, who knows us intimately and sustains us every day, every hour, every minute. He gives beauty from ashes and he REDEEMS! And I’ve quit saying never. I still fail every day and struggle with loving her the wa...

I promise), but for now… I needed to say this. It takes a village. And we have a great one. And I could not be more grateful. Fill i...
