Moments With Marmalade

Sunday, 26 June 2011. Hot Under The Collar. It's been very hot and sunny today. At least 30'C. I think that Marmalade has been suffering a little bit in trying to keep cool. She seemed quite happy laying out on the pavement. While I'm writing this, she is sitting on the windowsill feeling the breeze from the open window and watching events unfurl in the garden. Moments With Marmalade: August 2010

http://minuteswithmarmalade.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html

Thursday, 19 August 2010. I Wish I Had A Passport. Well what do you know, my servants Gail and Christopher are leaving me for a week, whilst they swan about in somewhere called Dubai. I don't know where that is, but it sounds a long way, and so I don't think they will be walking there, or I can go with them. I think they are going to get Uncle Brian, who lives next door to look after me whilst they are gone. As long as he keeps me well fed, and lets me have my sleeps I won't mind. Links to this post.

Tuesday, 10 August 2010. I think that I'm a very patient cat. I'll wait for Gail and Christopher to get up in the morning, so they can get me my breakfast. That's if I'm in! 12 August 2010 at 18:35. Too right you do Marmalade! And its usually me that you wake up at 4 am in the morning. :-(. 20 August 2010 at 11:16. Thats because us men need our sleep, just like cats do.lol. Moments With Marmalade: Paws For Thought

http://minuteswithmarmalade.blogspot.com/2010/08/paws-for-thought.html

Sunday, 8 August 2010. Hi everyone, Marmalade here. Some of you may know me already from Nottingham Daily Photo. The blog site my good friend Christopher writes every evening without fail. I'm not sure whether I can be so disciplined, especially with it still being light at night, as I like to lay on the pavement of an evening and watch the traffic go by. 10 August 2010 at 02:52. 10 August 2010 at 21:54. Nottingham Daily Photo: Lines

https://beestonblog.blogspot.com/2015/05/lines.html

A photo a day from the famous East Midlands city, its surroundings, and wherever the photographic journey takes me. Wednesday, 20 May 2015. Walking through the Lace Market this evening I saw these three vapour trails across the sky, which look quite close together and heading the same way. I wonder what sort of planes made them? I saw an AWACs plane flying overhead yesterday, as I was cycling home, so I wonder if there is some sort of military training going on at the moment? Dont Be Blue On Your Birthday.

Nottingham Daily Photo: Brian

https://beestonblog.blogspot.com/2015/04/brian.html

A photo a day from the famous East Midlands city, its surroundings, and wherever the photographic journey takes me. Saturday, 25 April 2015. A bit of a fun photo today, as my Brian the Robot finally arrived. I ordered him in March, when I bought some house insurance through Confused Dot Com, the online price checker. It's a good toy as it has it can be posed, talks and moves through friction power. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). This blog is a member of the City Daily Photo family of blogs. Humans o...

Nottingham Daily Photo: Where's George?

https://beestonblog.blogspot.com/2015/04/wheres-george.html

A photo a day from the famous East Midlands city, its surroundings, and wherever the photographic journey takes me. Thursday, 23 April 2015. St George's Day and there was a big parade in the Old Market Square. As usual, the procession started at the Forest Recreation Ground and made it's way down to the city centre, led of course by St George and our very own Robin Hood. It was lovely and warm today, and I think that everyone had a good time. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Heres Looking At You Kid.

Nottingham Daily Photo: May 2015

A photo a day from the famous East Midlands city, its surroundings, and wherever the photographic journey takes me. Sunday, 31 May 2015. Despite the town name on this coach, I'm not actually in Wales at the moment, but at Wollaton Park, and their annual classic vehicle show. Barton is of course a local bus company and this is one of their coaches, A Bedford VAL from the early 1960s. It doesn't belong to Barton's any more, but resides at the Nottingham Transport Heritage Centre in Ruddington. The best bar...

A photo a day from the famous East Midlands city, its surroundings, and wherever the photographic journey takes me. Thursday, 7 May 2015. X' Marks The Spot. I also had to vote for councillors to represent me on our local council. This was much easier, as I was allowed to vote for two people, so didn't take so much brain power. Nottingham Daily Photo: A Comical Day

https://beestonblog.blogspot.com/2015/05/a-comical-day.html

A photo a day from the famous East Midlands city, its surroundings, and wherever the photographic journey takes me. Saturday, 2 May 2015. My Saturday morning is usually spent in Beeston shopping and having a look around the many charity shops that my town now has. A new one only opened this week. So that makes nine in total to look round and see what goodies I can find. I will give these comics a go, but I can't see them becoming part of my life, as that is shared with photography. Free Comic Book Day.

Nottingham Daily Photo: V For Victory

https://beestonblog.blogspot.com/2015/05/v-for-victory.html

A photo a day from the famous East Midlands city, its surroundings, and wherever the photographic journey takes me. Friday, 8 May 2015. The general election shocks and surprises of today has somewhat overshadowed the 70th anniversary celebrations of VE Day, when the fighting stopped in World War 2. Some celebrations have taken place across the country. I saw on Facebook some photos that a friend took in Birmingham of a street party and they actually had a real Spitfire parked outside their new library.

Nottingham Daily Photo: Stigmata

https://beestonblog.blogspot.com/2015/04/stigmata.html

A photo a day from the famous East Midlands city, its surroundings, and wherever the photographic journey takes me. Friday, 24 April 2015. Besides some expensive cars parked in the Old Market Square The Stig from Top Gear made an appearance. Of course he didn't say anything, as The Stig never does. He just stood around posing for photos. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). This blog is a member of the City Daily Photo family of blogs. To visit Experience Nottinghamshire, click on photo. A photo a day from the famous East Midlands city, its surroundings, and wherever the photographic journey takes me. Thursday, 30 April 2015. Nothing quite like seeing a patch of bluebells. These are in Highfields. Wednesday, 29 April 2015. Came across this display board the other day that looks like it has been used for years, and posters have been torn off to make room for others. Tuesday, 28 April 2015. Here's Looking At You Kid. Here's Marmalade looking out on the world from the safety of our garage.

Documenting the Highlights and Spotlights of life. More Goodbyes Than Hellos. As 2016 is coming to a close, I am realising that it has been a year with more ‘official’ exits than entrances – more goodbyes than hellos. Granted, most of these goodbyes were not really ‘goodbye forever’… They were mostly ‘see you later.’ But it is still upsetting that that is just how life works – like a revolving door with people entering and leaving all the time. Well maybe because it has become more evident this year.

Thursday, November 7, 2013. God Walks With You. I was reading the story of Joshua. You remember him I hope. God used him to bring the Israelites to the Promised Land after Moses was taken from them. I picked up the story near the end of Joshua’s life where he was retelling the Israelites about all that God had done for them, reminding them God has fought for them and had brought about every promise leaving nothing undone (Joshua 23:14). Do you realize that every time you walk out the door God is with you?

Giving the Gift of An Experience. Is the idea of gift giving changing? Have you heard of experience gifts? It seems to be an idea that is gaining momentum and I want to advocate for it this holiday season. There are two ways to look at the gift of an experience:. You the giver are giving a gift of doing something with the receiver (i.e. going to a theater production together and possibly dinner beforehand). Why would you give the gift of an experience together? Click to print (Opens in new window). I fal...
