More Wright’s Field | Geocaching Pics
https://qdman.wordpress.com/2013/04/27/more-wrights-field
Images from my geocaching adventures and misadventures. More Wright’s Field. I’ve decided to try and place a night cache in Wright’s Field. As I’ve mentioned before, one usually finds a night cache by following small reflectors to the cache. For the most part, that will be the case for this cache as well. Here are a few pictures I took while scouting locations and placing reflectors. I’ll keep you posted on how the cache turns out. Perhaps there will be a few more pictures once it goes live. Enter your e...

https://qdman.wordpress.com/2012/11/04/gettin-lucky-in-kentucky
Images from my geocaching adventures and misadventures. Gettin’ Lucky in Kentucky. I was invited to go to Frankfort, Kentucky to participate in a research project involving Forensic Document Examination. I. To go, because it sounded like fun. I knew I. Go, because it would benefit my profession. But I. To go, because I’d not yet found a cache in Kentucky. The most amazing thing they showed me was the barns. You know, where the horses live? This quaint street sign had me imagining a Jay-Z song performed b...

Disney’s Horseshoe Review | Geocaching Pics
https://qdman.wordpress.com/2012/06/08/disneys-horseshoe-review
Images from my geocaching adventures and misadventures. Disney’s Horseshoe Review. My son and I took a trip to Disneyland last week. This was the only cache in the park that I’d not yet found. It was an easy one, too, as it was a virtual cache where the only requirement was to watch a show in the Golden Horseshoe and post a picture on the cache page. The show we happened to see was “Billy Hill and the Hillbillies,” which was a hand-clappin’, foot-stompin’ good time. 8230;and the flamingos got taller.

Wright’s Field | Geocaching Pics
https://qdman.wordpress.com/2012/12/29/wrights-field
Images from my geocaching adventures and misadventures. Wright’s Field is a nature preserve near our home. There are a number of caches there, and I thought today would be a good day to find a few – and maybe take some pictures. I found this to be a rather interesting tree. That’s El Capitan in the background. One of the caches was nestled snugly in the arms of a huge cactus plant. The cache is the mint tin behind the rock. It took a bit of ingenuity to retrieve it. OK, I used a stick, but it was an.

La Mesa Centennial Amazing Geocache Challenge | Geocaching Pics
https://qdman.wordpress.com/2012/06/02/la-mesa-centennial-amazing-geocache-challenge
Images from my geocaching adventures and misadventures. La Mesa Centennial Amazing Geocache Challenge. The nearby city of La Mesa recently celebrated their 100th birthday. Surprisingly, they included geocaching as part of the celebration. Nine regular caches were published, along with a multi-cache and a puzzle cache. The most interesting part was the multi-cache, where each stop included some interesting bit of La Mesa history. Of course, I snapped a few pics along the way. Laquo; Polymer Science II.

Images from my geocaching adventures and misadventures. The last cache we found on Memorial Day, 2012. It’s in the running for Favorite Cache Ever. If you don’t see the video above, you can find it here. Comments : Leave a Comment. Did I mention I went to Monterey for a meeting? I’ve been to a lot of meetings before, but I’ve never been to one where the view from the meeting room looked like this. This was on the way to the cache. Hmmm This looks strangely familiar. WWFM IX – San Diego – Balboa Park Flying Flash Mob | Geocaching Pics
https://qdman.wordpress.com/2012/06/09/wwfm-ix-san-diego-balboa-park-flying-flash-mob
Images from my geocaching adventures and misadventures. WWFM IX – San Diego – Balboa Park Flying Flash Mob. Yes, it’s that time of year again. Time for another geocaching flash mob. This year, we met near the San Diego Aerospace Museum, signed the log book, made and flew paper airplanes, then disappeared into the mists…so to speak. We also found time to squeeze in a group photo, which was taken by the event coordinators. You can see it here. Laquo; Disney’s Horseshoe Review. Date : 9 June, 2012. Join 8 o...
