Confections and Confessions: June 2011
http://mandajanee.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 16, 2011. 8220;College is a refuge from hasty judgment". I've been home for two years. I've left home maybe. Three times in those two years. This fall I am moving out again and it feels SO great to be sorting through things, busting out the dusty college boxes. Or, in it's place. I'm getting ready to leave home again and move into an apartment with a roommate. I haven't had a roommate since 2007 and I'm not sure yet if I'm ready for one. I like having my own space, you know? Confections and Confessions: "We have heard enough truth and direction in this conference to bring us into the presence of God if we would follow it."

Saturday, March 31, 2012. We have heard enough truth and direction in this conference to bring us into the presence of God if we would follow it.". I'm just about to head out the door for work. I'm bummed, not because I don't get to sleep all day on Saturday, but because I'm going to miss the last half hour of the first session of Conference and also the whole second session. General Conference is a huge blessing. It's our King Benjamin Moment. The Lord is speaking to us directly. Anchor and bird blog.

Confections and Confessions: “Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity”
http://mandajanee.blogspot.com/2012/03/luck-is-what-happens-when-preparation.html
Thursday, March 29, 2012. 8220;Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity”. There has been a series of fortunate events in my life these past few weeks. First of all, I got the job. I've been working at Subway for about three weeks now and I perpetually smell like sandwich. It's a small price to pay, considering I rock that job. It's fantastic, it fills my free time, and it brings in some pay. As a poor college student, having any source of income is much appreciated. Anchor and bird blog.

Confections and Confessions: "I won't always love what I'll never have"
http://mandajanee.blogspot.com/2012/05/i-wont-always-love-what-ill-never-have.html
Tuesday, May 1, 2012. I won't always love what I'll never have". Today I am twenty-three. It feels weird to say that I'm twenty-three, since it sounds so adult. However, I don't feel like I'm that old. I still feel like an eighteen year old kid. At the same time, I can look back on what I've accomplished in the past year and I think I've gone leaps and bounds. Twenty-two was a surprisingly good year. I think twenty-three will give it a run for it's money. Here's to another year of adulthood! Life with H D.

@oHBogado (Blog): Let's stop for a minute and talk about a tie
http://ohbblog.blogspot.com/2012/12/lets-stop-for-minute-and-talk-about-tie.html
Let's stop for a minute and talk about a tie. December 23, 2012. The tie, or necktie, is practically a must-‐wear garment for almost any man in any event. A simple long piece of cloth worn for decorative purposes around the neck can be much more than just “style.” It can represent a social status, a fashion statement, a formality, or a symbol of ambition. Most likely, people would say that the twin without the tie is more casual than the twin with the tie. Not wearing a tie is considered being casual.

That's me! I remember going to the movies with Candela and Ruth and the gang. It was one of those moments when a scary movie became part of a generation identity. And my favorites, Final Destination. The Arave Family!: Moore's Creek Battlefield!
http://nelsonandkatiearave.blogspot.com/2013/06/moores-creek-battlefield.html
Monday, June 17, 2013. One neat thing about living in North Carolina is exploring the rich history of our area. In 1776, there was a battle near Wilmington in an area later named Moore's Creek Battlefield. It was so interesting learning about this American Revolutionary War battle. We went with our favorite North Carolinians, the McLeod family! Sweet Ashton fell asleep on the ride to the battlefield. I love those long lashes on those precious cheeks! Beckham's head is a little bigger than Ashton's (haha!
