Tuesday, February 3, 2015. New apartement and garden! I finally found a place to live! It came with a tiny little garden with a bunch of chili plants, tomatoes and kangkung (a green, leafy vegetable). The other day some friends helped me clean it up. One of them even climbed the neighbors tree and asked to chop down a few branches that were dropping a lot of leaves into my driveway. She used a machete ofcourse! Then we dug neat rows to replant all the chili plants. My green living room. The 9th of March.

Thursday, April 16, 2015. I still have no internet at my place (despite great efforts to change that.), so this blog is not much updated lately. But here are some pictures from my recent trip to a possible ministry location :). Very few pictures since internet is still being a pain.). We ended up doing quite a bit of medical work, listening to peoples health problems and trying to give some good advice. Hard to get people to smile in pictures, but a selfie situation will bring it out! The 9th of March.

Monday, March 31, 2014. A bus ride and a motorcycle ride. On saturday I went with some friends on the bus for the first time here, to a nearby town to watch a movie. It was an interesting ride to say the least. It was pretty crowded (the trip took almost 2 hours! Thankfully we got to sit most of the way. We saw two accidents, both including busses. Saturday, January 17, 2015. Back in the tropics. After a couple of weeks of moms yummy food, cold weather, long evenings on the sofa watching movies and drinking coffee and seeing lots of sunrises and sunfalls, it was time to come back to the tropics! First I got to hang out with my friend Jess in the capital for a couple of days. I got to attend my friends older brothers wedding and use my kebaya for the first time. Sunday, February 23, 2014. It rained a lot! Went out to the milk station cafe. Getting to know new people in the area. Helped my friend fix up these skirts for a play at her university. Saturday, February 15, 2014. Are not supposed to be this big! This coin is roughly the size of a norwegian 5 kr. When you can see the ants eyes, its too big! Friday, February 14, 2014. Det snør, det snør, tiddelibom. Ashes is snowing over my little town this morning, due to a volcanic eruption hundreds of kilometers away.

Fredag 27. september 2013. I vår fekk eg for alvor augene opp for instagram. Samstundes forsvant bloggen ut i det fjerne. Det er jo mykje enklare å berre leggje bileta ut på instagram. Dette året er det utruleg mange i min omgangskrins som har fått baby. Noko av det kjekkaste eg veit er å lage barselgåver, for eg veit kor glade mødrene (og fedrene) vert. Det er noko heilt spesielt med å gje vekk noko eg har laga sjølv! Her kjem eit lite bileteras av nokre av tinga eg har laga:. Kjole i bomull - Celine.

Monday, June 30, 2014. More pics from the river and waterfall. Saturday, June 28, 2014. Some snap-shots from the last week:. Esthers swollen feet last week, they are back to normal now, except for her knees that are still really painful. Some shots from the sea side. Ever seen an umbrella take a scooter before. Went to a waterfal today, a 30 min hike. Had tons of these huge centipedes on the trail. We climbed up to the top waterfall, having to cross the river several times and getting completely soaked!

Endelig har jeg fått overlevert "hemmeligstrikket", til en nydelig liten gutt! Valget falt på denne flettejakken fra garnstudio.no. Fort gjort å strikke, til tross for flettene, å så ble den så myk og god! Alltid litt nervepirrende å gi bort hjemmestrikket, og spesielt til en som strikker selv, men tror mottakeren ble fornøyd.
