Lovely & Lovely: September 2012
http://thelovelyandlovelyblog.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 25 September 2012. What a Beautiful Time! This is an amalagamation of the last month or so, we've been so busy that the blog has rather fallen by the wayside. So much has happened! We went to Beautiful Days festival in Devon the third weekend in August and it was exactly what it said on the tin - our best festival. It really felt like after a summer of rain and mud and a tangible collective gloom that post Olympics Britain was definitely on the move towards an optimisitc Autumn. Next Camilla wen...

Love Lemon: 1 Shade of Grey
http://lovelemon1.blogspot.com/2015/03/1-shade-of-grey.html
What Katy Did Next - Features. Tuesday, 24 March 2015. 1 Shade of Grey. Here are the promised snaps of our new living room. We still have lots we would like to do, as you can see we have lots of bare walls. I am trying to decide where to put pictures and I have my eye on the perfect shelves for one of the alcoves. I am pleased with how it is taking shape. The grey walls look so different in different lights. We absolutely love the 'steel grey 2' colour we chose from Dulux. What do you think? Ahhh lovely ...

Love Lemon: October 2014
http://lovelemon1.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
What Katy Did Next - Features. Wednesday, 15 October 2014. The shift dress has to be one of my favourite classic vintage designs. When I signed up to my first dressmaking course I had my heart set on a shift dress with a peter pan collar which you can see here. I wear it so much and went on to make another. I particularly like pockets or a collar on a shift dress and there are so many variations on the design. Who also have a great selection of shift dresses. Someone wanted in on the action! My styling a...

Love Lemon: July 2015
http://lovelemon1.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
What Katy Did Next - Features. Friday, 24 July 2015. Our new garden had lots of mature plants and a lot of thought had gone into each one. However we had no grass for the boys to play on and lots of sharp plants around, we couldn't even see the decking at the back. We spent a lot of time working through ideas and planning. Over quite a few weeks we cleared stones, bricks, plants and some huge roots. We gave away lots of plants and stones through our local free cycle. The difference once we had laid the l...

summerfete: itty bitty crochet star tutorial
http://summerfete.blogspot.com/2011/12/itty-bitty-crochet-star-tutorial.html
Wednesday, 7 December 2011. Itty bitty crochet star tutorial. I am a firm believer that if I can think up a crochet pattern,. Especially one so easy,. Then probably somebody else has too. I don't believe that simple crochet patterns belong. This is my first ever crochet diagram. It's pretty self explanatory really if you already crochet. I used some kool cotton from my stash. I'm using uk terms). Chain 5, slip stitch into the first chain to create a ring. Finish with a slip stitch into the first dc.

summerfete: patchwork tutorial
http://summerfete.blogspot.com/2009/03/patchwork-tutorial.html
Friday, 20 March 2009. In case you hadn't. Already guessed I love patchwork. So I thought I'd. Show you how its really not as fiddly as you might think. This is my second piece using the paper template method, and although its time consuming cutting the templates and tacking the pieces, when it comes to the sewing together bit, its far less taxing than having to match things up by sewing machine. To begin the star and hexagon pattern you will need to draw a hexagon (google image :hexagon! This is probabl...

Lovely & Lovely: Reasons to be Cheerful!
http://thelovelyandlovelyblog.blogspot.com/2013/02/reasons-to-be-cheerful.html
Saturday, 16 February 2013. Reasons to be Cheerful! It's quite often very hard when you work for yourself to look on the positive side of things. Last summer was TOUGH, it was wet, muddy and people didn't shop. At times like these it can feel like you're throwing yourself against a brick wall and no amount of hard work will get you any closer to breaking through it. So here are our reasons to be cheerful in both life and business:. Back in November I was lucky enough to be offered some teaching work with...
