vinum diligo: June 2011
http://vinumdiligo.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
June 15, 2011. A few nights ago, I went out with the love of my life to taste the grape of my life: Riesling. 14 wines from various regions of this world. Blind. I enjoyed it big time and took the freedom to use the word 'lecker' (yummi) right away! Still feeling my freedom, after wine school, where such adjectives were banned from vocabulary.). Another tasting with different Rieslings might (no, will) give a total different picture again. (Which is also why all of this wine tasting remains so exciti...

December 31, 2011. Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right. Oprah Winfrey. However, some more decisions will have to be taken in 2012. But not today. Today, we just enjoy the day and night with some lovely people. That was one of the great things of 2011 - we met so many nice people and made so many new friends. I am very thankful for that. We get lots of happy moments out of this and inspiration too. Fantastic! And I am looking forward to do more work in 2012. The Danish/Swedish o...

vinum diligo: 2010 Delheim Chenin Blanc, South Africa
http://vinumdiligo.blogspot.com/2012/02/2010-delheim-chenin-blanc-south-africa.html
February 27, 2012. 2010 Delheim Chenin Blanc, South Africa. The more wines we tasted, the better the food became! And vice versa. We had our children with us, who were not drinking any wine, and who at all other places just wanted to get back to the pool. But here, at Delheim, even they enjoyed the atmosphere, for some reason. Good for us - gave us the extra glass to try. And how was the wine? March 7, 2013 at 2:28 AM. Some wines are really good, and some not really. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

vinum diligo: February Vines
http://vinumdiligo.blogspot.com/2012/02/february-vines.html
February 26, 2012. Spring is in the air, temps are up to 15 C this week, in accordance to forecast. Soon, the almond trees will be all covered in pink of all shades. But even grey February days have some beauty to offer, as this picture that Lars took, shows. Don't you agree? Clean and 'stilrent' as the Swedes call it. And for those of you who wonder, this is a part of the Ruppertsberger Reiterpfad. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. 2010 Delheim Chenin Blanc, South Africa.

December 07, 2010. Aaaah, someone that understands us who love both worlds - the internet and the wine. And us, who like to try more expensive wines - without having to buy the whole bottle without knowing whether we like it or not! In the front you see the screen where we were just online, exploring the different vineyard sites as we are asking certain questions around a wine we just bought. In the back you see the big screen at the wall that shows the currently open bottles of higher priced wines.

January 24, 2011. MyPfalz: Johann F Ohler. MyPfalz (2) Winery January:. I got curious about. This winery after I had been offered a glass of their Mussbacher Eselshaut Riesling Kabinett trocken during an event. An easy to drink, everyday wine, nothing fancy, BUT! So clean, clear, crisp, fruity, refreshing and lean! Getting thirsty again.). The special edition JFO, that comes in small quantities only, is something to look out for! They are exclusively available in vintages where everything was perfect....
