http://talesofatimelord.blogspot.com/2007_05_01_archive.html
Tales from the Tardis. Sunday, May 20, 2007. This week Teapot and I have been to two cricket matches. On Thursday we went to Lords in London to watch the first day's play between England and West Indies. Earlier today we went to Edgbaston with Al who is a member there to see Warwickshire play Leicestershire and win. We hear his footsteps in all sorts of places. Sometimes they are woven subtly almost imperceptibly into the daily music of life. They are never overtaken by the noise of the stronger ...Of co...

Tales from the Tardis: April 2007

Tales from the Tardis. Thursday, April 26, 2007. Dave was 62 when he died this week. He was out jogging when suddenly he passed out of this world and went to join El Pasto and FLN entering a reality described by C.S. Lewis thus:. The term is over; the holidays have begun. The dream is ended: this is the morning.the things that began to happen after that were so great and beautiful that I cannot write them. I remember his obsessive commitment to Gilbert and Sullivan. He and his friends would try to at...

The Rambles of Al. Observations on life the universe and everything viewed through the eyes of me. A couple of weekends ago I escaped the urban jungle of Birmingham for some much better scenery and much cleaner air! It was my first day out of Birmingham for almost 8 weeks and it was the first road trip in Gregory Julian or Jules (my new car! With me behind the wheel. My two trusty companions for the day were Jen and Martin. We returned to the road and once again started laughing at the funny sounding pla...

Tales from the Tardis. Sunday, October 29, 2006. Before you think I have gone all highbrow this is not a blog about the hero of the Kingsley Amis novel of the same name. It is a story in the unfolding about my friend Jim.lucky Jim some would say. Not because he is a season ticket holder at Aston Villa looking forward to the ongoing revolution under St Martin, not because of his vast collection of vinyl records going back to before Cliff was a lad (he must have a lot? Lucky Jim. No way. My advice. Some of...

Tales from the Tardis. Saturday, March 31, 2007. Your days of sorrow will end. So says the prophet Isaiah. But not yet. I travelled to Lancaster on Wednesday and picked up a copy of the Times on the train to read these words as part of an inside article. They were written with great feeling by one who knows. We carry our loss with us but one day sorrows will end. I am the Lord in its time I will do this swiftly. Posted by timelord in the tardis at 10:14 pm. Friday, March 30, 2007. The Rambles of Al. Observations on life the universe and everything viewed through the eyes of me. I was listening to the News Quiz on Radio 4, it usually induces a chuckle or two, but this particularly newspaper cutting from Monitoring Monthly. Mullion Cove - New Years Day. I loved being able to get away and disconnect myself from the outside world. For those Harry Potter fans out there it feels a bit like that font thing Dumbledore has where he can pour out his thoughts and make space in his head&#...

Tales from the Tardis: December 2006
http://talesofatimelord.blogspot.com/2006_12_01_archive.html
Tales from the Tardis. Wednesday, December 27, 2006. I was passing the time of day with a friend of mine at the end of the check out in the food emporium frequented by Teapot and myself earlier today when he pointed to three packs of cranberries. These are for next Christmas " said he. "I will freeze them and make a cranberry jelly next year. You know there was a shortage this year". I asked if he would be buying next year's Christmas cards in the sales but he said not. Nearer home I thought of other fri...

The Rambles of Al. Observations on life the universe and everything viewed through the eyes of me. As you can hopefully tell it holds good memories for us all and I was able to take comfort from that when being faced with such a difficult reason for being there this time. I found my body relaxing but my emotions being pounded. There's just something about being on The Lizard that seems to make time slow to a crawl and force your body to do the same. News from Down Under. I don't like cricket, I love it.
