September 14, 2012. 結果を開ける前に、妻は 開けて、開けて、早く開けてね 結果を聞きたいの と言った。 封筒を開けて、いきなり 合格 Passed と読んでしまった。 I received the test results for Level 3 of the Japanese Language Proficiency Test from the Kudamatsu Board of Education today. I was quite nervous as I opened the envelope. Quick, open it! I want to know the results! Ok, let’s see what it says, I replied, looking at the envelope. My wife and I immediately embraced.

Tuesday, October 30, 2012. Visit from the Folks. The folks visited this past Saturday! It turned out to be a great day. The weather dipped below 60 degrees for the first time in forever, and we hit up a really famous barbeque joint near downtown. The family, weather, and amazing food was an unbeatable combo. Michelle and my parents about to dig in. 1 lb pork ribs, 2 lbs beef ribs,1lb brisket, half link sausage, beans, squash, bread. BOOM. The gigantic Texas flag is a nice touch. Sunday, October 21, 2012.

Sunday, February 17, 2013. Milestone number 2 is history. This past Friday was 6 weeks post op. Wow I can't believe it's gone as fast as it has. Life has improved in so many areas. I can move so much better, I can drive, I can sleep with a normal amount of pillows - not a huge mountain pillow build up. Two days ago I gasp slept on my side! Most people after they have had this surgery can't do that for another few weeks! Sunday, February 3, 2013. And of course watching a little football. Score!
