Umbrellas in places umbrellas do not belong. What is this nonsense all about? On being in a small room with lounging naked strangers}. One of the first things people want to know, once they sniff out my sketchbook, is how weird it is to draw from a nude model? How often do I draw from nude models? What’s the most awkward thing that’s happened during a session with nude models? How do I get over seeing their junk? Do I actually draw, you know,. Which, to set the record straight, I don’t. Umbrellas in places umbrellas do not belong. What is this nonsense all about? Inspiration comes from everywhere and it would be obnoxious if I prattled on and on about the experiences that shape my *#artistic voice#* . So I’ll just put up some pictures that have encouraged and shaped the plotline of Subject to Change and other, smaller stories that I don’t care about as much. But mostly Subject to Change because let’s be real, that’s my brain baby. Mouse over for commentary because I’m sassy. Mar 16, 2012.

Umbrellas in places umbrellas do not belong. What is this nonsense all about? Absolutely 100% riveting adventures in story-building}. Among some new projects I’ve kick-started for this summer is a webcomic. Nothing fancy; two or three pages a week, posted somewhere on the internet. If I can keep it up and keep it well, it’s somewhat impressive to art colleges, and I’ve been wanting to do something like this for a while now. A prince stuck in a tower, and a princess/knight with some really rough braids.

Umbrellas in places umbrellas do not belong. What is this nonsense all about? I’mma pimp out some comics}. So basically I’m just going to put some sweet webcomics here. If you’re not into that whole nerdy internet picture-book thing, I urge you to reconsider with just a few of my absolute favorite internet-based sequential-arts stories. Warning: some of these might contain things like nudity, rough language, gore, or drug use. Idk I didn’t write them read at your own risk for slight offense I guess?

Laquo; Tears aren’t salty. The Anxieties of an Awkward Babysitter. Run, Lizzie, Run. April 13, 2012. I was a champion. But despite all of my athletic disasters, I’ve started running more lately. In January, a few friends and I decided to sign up for the Flying Pig Marathon relay, in which we each have to run about 6 miles. While that isn’t all that much to those doing the. Just kidding. I don't at all. But I really am getting better! I just don’t get it sometimes. My theater-geek tendencies are no secret...

Archives for the month of: March, 2012. Tears aren’t salty. March 23, 2012. Sorry I’m not going to be funny this week but this week just wasn’t very funny. Then, on Tuesday, everything changed. The community found out that we had lost Collin Barton, a junior at Mariemont. I was shocked and upset. Honestly, I hardly knew Collin. But he was a Mariemonter and that means he was family. We care about each other around here; this community is full of so much love. March 9, 2012. When I was in 1. Grade, I thoug...

Archives for the month of: January, 2012. What’s in a name? A lot of awkward. And nostalgia. January 20, 2012. Soon after I was accepted into college, I joined the Northwestern Facebook group and it was time for another big step: changing my Facebook name. If I wanted to meet fellow students, I had to go by my new adult name! So I changed my Facebook title and that’s when the awkward began. Seniors. Still goofy. Summer before Freshman year. Lizzie. Summer before Senior year. Liz. Awkward on the Horizon.

At the Sound of the Whistle. Monthly Archives: September 2011. A Week in the Life of a Cross Country Runner. September 22, 2011. To kick off our week, we run mile repeats. This is basically running four miles, with two minute breaks in between each one, at a steady and consistant pace. Lately we have also been runing 4 X 800 and 6 X 400 instead. This workout is fast pace with little to no jogging and is very difficult. Afterwards we take an ice bath to help our legs to not be so sore. September 19, 2011.

A blog about the folk/americana/alt-country music scene. Children are the Future (Wheels). The idea of a high school band is nothing new. It is the dream of many teenagers to grab guitars, hit the stage, and woo the girls with their talent. Reality often falls short of these dreams. In Yellow Springs, Ohio, the dream never ends. Under their built and another in the works, they have taken the Greater Dayton music scene by storm. How did you guys get started? What are the ages of all the members? I’m...

A blog about the folk/americana/alt-country music scene. From Nemo to Avett. The Avett Brothers are gearing up to release their 7. Nemo eventually transformed and gave way to the band we all know and love today, but to the members and fans, it was a project they will never forget. I had the pleasure of talking to Kenny Graham and John Twomey who were ready to spill the secrets and memories they have from when they played with the Avett’s. A wild Nemo show. As the band continued playing, the live shows se...

Who is the Last Child? | lastchildproblems
https://lastchildproblems.wordpress.com/2013/04/05/who-is-the-last-child
Life as the last child. Who is the Last Child? My time is running short. I will soon fly from the coop and leave for college, away from my parents, where I can do as I please and they will have no reign over me, except for the Power of the Purse, and I guess moral obligation. And so, like an ancient scribe striving to record his esoteric knowledge, here is my personal profile of who I believe–first hand– is truly the Last Child. Has at least two older siblings. As they get older, last children decide whe...

Things I May (or May Not) Miss. My opinions on what I'm leaving behind when I graduate in the fall of 2012. April 12, 2012. As of my last post, my blog SharingSounds. People have asked me what I plan to do with the blog, but it’s pretty complicated and I usually just make a quick joke instead of sitting down and explaining it. So I figured if I wrote my plan out on. Blog, maybe I can just refer people to this post instead of poorly explaining it individually. Does all this sound unrealistic?

As The Top Spins
As The Top Spins. Monday, December 12, 2011. Sunday, September 11, 2011. Another early start as I checked out of the Denali Bluffs Lodge to board the charter bus to travel to the small village of Talkeetna. More beautiful scenery greeted me on the ride with the bus driver playing some authentic Alaskan music which had some commonalities with bluegrass. She also played a video entitled “Alaska: The Majestic” that was narrated by Charlton Heston. All of Talkeetna was contained in about 4 square city blocks.
