MBS perform at Sounds of Downtown 2008. The MBS and Still Dangerous performed to large crowds at the Thirsty Moose as part of the Sounds of Downtown 2008. Barry Buse and Friends at the Elmdale House. Take note that the weekly MBS jams at the Elmdale House were a once a month gig with Barry Buse and friends who entertained on the second Tuesday of each month during 2009. Here are some photos taken at the Elmdale House.

The Mississippi Blues Society (MBS) was founded on September 18, 2001 to increase the awareness and enjoyment of blues music in Lanark County and area. Our Society encourages, promotes and seeks to expand live music performance, communication and education focused on blues music. Please feel free to contact us via email. The first set is played by the house band, after which Jammers will be asked to trade out on stage. Normally, Jammers can expect to play 3 songs, unless asked by the house band and/or audience for more. Please don’t let songs go for more than 5 minutes, unless a substantial number of people are dancing, then by all means play on a bit longer.
