Started us off with a song with that line in it. That basically became the objective for me for the day. I wanted to leave the retreat knowing I was closer to Jesus than when I entered the room this morning. I'm still trying to process everything I heard, touched, smelled, experienced - but it's going to take some time.

Celebrated my birthday, went to a couple for concerts, had to run a lot (including a back to back half marathon), camping, attended some SFC activities and all those after office hours night out. My LIFE IN LOS ANGELES. FIVE YEARS AND COUNTING. TOP OF THE WORLD. Mount Whitney is the highest summit in the contiguous US with an elevation of 14,505. In terms of running it's the Ultra Marathon of hiking. It took me months and a lot of training hikes just for this day hike. It's the toughest hike I ever did. It took us about 18 hours for the 22mi out and back trail. There are times that I wanted to give up and don't want to walk anymore. I was telling asking "Why am I doing this? Whispers In The Dark.

Honestly I was just there because it's a Nike event and I was looking forward for the freebies haha. I wasn't even sure if I can really PR my fastest mile because prior to this run I was able to run as much because of work and church activities. I was mostly out for the last 2 months.
