Thing 12: Attending Conferences. Asymp; Leave a comment. Conferences are a great way to learn from a range of different talks in a short space of time, while being physically present and able to ask questions or engage in debate. You can also meet hundreds of library people under one roof and everyone there is scouting for good networking connections. At least, that’s what I’ve heard. I’ve never been to one!
