The Journey: December 2010
http://hasfeldt.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 29, 2010. Skiing and More Skiing! December has come and gone, and with it, has arrived a much awaited and over-due fall of snow in Valdres! I’ve also experienced some fairly significant improvement on the slopes, but not without some fairly entertaining falls! Of course, as often as I`m out skiing, and as often as I write about it, there are other things at the school with which I occupy myself. After all, something must have been keeping me from posting on my blog all this time!

The Journey: Cyprus
http://hasfeldt.blogspot.com/2011/03/cyprus.html
Monday, March 28, 2011. This was actually my first winter get away to date (not that I. Needed a get away from all the the skiing and hockey) and I had very enjoyable and relaxing stay with Per and Lill at their flat in Paralimni, Cyprus. First and foremost, I must say you will never meet a pair as hospitable and generous as Per and Lill! 8221; Oh well. Apart from this, the Cyprian landscape is quite appealing, with a backdrop of jagged hills behind you, and an endless blue horizon ahead of you. Not ...

The Journey: The Alps Experience
http://hasfeldt.blogspot.com/2011/01/alps-experience.html
Friday, January 28, 2011. The next week proved much more exciting than the first. A trip to Filefjell to cap off our avalanche course with some practical training was worthwhile. Not because I was later involved in an avalanche (I wasn’t), but because it gave me my first real taste of fresh Norwegian powder. Great time, spent the whole weekend off-piste, taking drops and floating over the powder. Although temperatures of over 10 degrees Celsius. There couldn’t have been a better surprise than to wa...

The Journey: February 2011
http://hasfeldt.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 23, 2011. Time flies when you’re having fun! As usual, it’s been another busy month in Norway. Lately, volleyball has been a significant time consumer, as we’ve been practicing towards our first game! However, not everyone fully understood the rotation tactics and it showed in the first set. Part way into the second set, we started to relax a little, and we came back from a seven point deficit to push the game to a third set! One of these latest endeavours happens to pertain to my swe...

The Journey: November 2010
http://hasfeldt.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Friday, November 26, 2010. I suppose I may as well start at the beginning. It feels so long ago. The beginning of our week long trek to London… We got off to a great start; Olof and I caught our flights to Stansted Airport. I spent the night with stomach cramps and a sore back, pleasantries which helped me forget the noise of the cleaning machine as it droned past our sleeping quarters. After checking into our hostel (which cost a mere 56 pounds for five nights! I’m not certain that. I can portray all th...

The Journey: January 2012

Saturday, January 21, 2012. Mitt liv siden Norge. Hallo mine norske venner! So please bear with me. Som Martin sier, må jeg skjarpe meg! Mount Yumnuska, Banff National Park. The car, nesten aldri like ren.

The Journey: August 2010
http://hasfeldt.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 28, 2010. View of Sarpsborg from Per Per and Lill’s cabin in Hallingdal. And Lill’s appartment. Ragnhild, Katalin, Elise, me, Marthe, Ivar. Jotenheim in the background. 2010-11 HQ Hans and Sindre Valdres Folkehogskole. Tuesday, August 24, 2010. Norway. What a welcome! Upon approaching my new home, a ferry announcement proclaimed, "Ladies and gentlemen, we are pleased to welcome you to- our hotdogstand"? All for now. (Sorry no pictures this time, I'm too busy to bother with a camera).
