Trip # One- April 2010. April 23, 2010. なんでもキャンドルライト Everything’s by candlelight! Japanese dinner, by Eiko. The power cut was from 18:00 today, so candlelight was the theme for dinner, dishes, songs afterwards and the shower. Tad said it created a gorgeous atmosphere. I agree. I was glad at least the camera runs on batteries though. (and that there are candles readily available here). With our wonderful hosts. Laquo; Day Six: April 23. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Trip # One- April 2010. April 22, 2010. Photos from Day 3. パタン スクエア Patan Square. This is the remains of the former palace of one of the kingdoms that eventually became Nepal. We found many Nepalis sitting around, enjoying the atmosphere. Here are some grandpas in the local dress. Look at that smile! Its epic. I love it! Who wants to be a happy looking grampy like that? We later found a painting of him (sporting that exact adorable smile) being sold in one of the shops. Street vendors taking a rest.

Love is you and me. Sodesne. hai. sodes. July 10, 2010. It’s official. I’m not cool. I’m squeamish to the core. One day when I grow up and I get to be a classy first grade teacher I’m going to play this harmless but. Joke on all the parents. 1) Let everyone know that on July 9th, the kids need to bring a pair of long pants, a bamboo pole with a long string dangling off one end, with some dried squid tied to the end of it. Also a bug box (whatever they’re called). That’s crayfish by the way. Yesterday: &#...

Trip # One- April 2010. April 24, 2010. Day Seven: April 24th. It seems like the electricity cut schedule went back to normal these past couple of days. I guess we passed the grace period of the first few days. Heh. But I’ve been enjoying the candlelight. It will probably be great to continue once I get back too, as long as I don’t burn my hair or something dangerous (which incidentally almost happened today, heh). 3 happy men engaged in good conversation! Trip # One- April 2010. April 20, 2010. I think I stop breathing for a few seconds, every time I cross the roads here. It takes a lot of concentration to keep from screaming (although it came out once loud and clear and it scared Tad, haha) It’s pretty hectic, unless I have someone’s hand to hold. HAHA! This is still considerably safe looking. Mr Tad, enjoying the ride🙂. April 20, 2010. Day Three: April 20th. In discussing our stay here so far, the first topic that came up was Lily. Trip # One- April 2010. April 22, 2010. Day Four: April 21. Day Four started out with a little stomach sickness, and Eiko-san came down with a fever, so she stayed home to rest. Thanks for praying for full recovery. Binod was an excellent guide, and we managed to walk nearly 10 km today. Tad said he couldn’t have felt better. I have to admit that I got quite tired. Heh! Yes, we walked all the way down these steps. Here is proof, of us at the bottom J. Here’s where the monks live up top. Day Five: April 22.
