Cincinnati Ohio North Stake - Missionary Work Assistance. Tuesday, November 11, 2008. Bishop Kevin Hawkes of the Camden Ward,. Stake, smiled at the members of his ward council as they began one of their twice-monthly meetings in May, 2004. The focus of this meeting, held on the second Sunday of each month, was missionary work. 8220;I have good news and bad news,” he began. 8220;The good news is that we know how to do this. We know how to fellowship people as they go through the investigation process.

Cincinnati Ohio North Stake - Missionary Work Assistance. Thursday, November 6, 2008. How to Be an Exemplary Member Missionary. Widely taught and practiced in the church that most members have become intimidated by missionary work. Predict in advance – and in fact we should not pre-judge. 58; John 10:19-39.). We can invite anyone. If we don’t invit...

Sharing the Gospel: Personal Stories. How Great Shall Be Your Joy (D&C 18:15). Sunday, January 25, 2009. God Wouldn't Leave Me Alone (Washington). I began to make some foolish choices. I messed around with things I shouldn’t have. By the time I was about 19, I began to realize that what I was doing was not good, and that I needed to quit it. I tried to make changes, but I kept falling back with the old crowd. The summer I turned 20, I was invited to go to. She also came down with 2 of my cousins. I h...

Sharing the Gospel: Personal Stories. How Great Shall Be Your Joy (D&C 18:15). Sunday, April 12, 2009. If Someone As "Regular" As Sheila Could Be a Mormon (Scotland). His name was Jim, and he was preparing to serve a mission. His calling as ward librarian had fortuitously brought him to the meetinghouse that day, and he supplied me with copies of the Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants, and Pearl of Great Price, the last two of which I had been most curious to see for myself. However, this did. 8220;S...

Sharing the Gospel: Personal Stories. How Great Shall Be Your Joy (D&C 18:15). Sunday, November 30, 2008. The Love of God (Japan). We started in the Bible and ended up in the Book of Mormon reading 2 Nephi 31. After we had alternated verses with her throughout that chapter, she asked us to stop while she read it again (the entire chapter) silently to herself. When she finished, my companion asked me to translate for him as he simply said, “Sister S, would you like to be baptized? Learn About Jesus Christ.

Sharing the Gospel: Personal Stories. How Great Shall Be Your Joy (D&C 18:15). Sunday, April 19, 2009. Thank God for the People of the Light (AL). Is the gospel really good news? I despaired of my species, and of myself. I wished for nothing so much as black nothingness forevermore. Anything to blot out this gray dreary horror of living. My own family had been rather bitter and harsh, at times, and still was. Put-downs were the way it operated, with force and dominance games, and lots of mutual conte...

Sharing the Gospel: Personal Stories. How Great Shall Be Your Joy (D&C 18:15). Sunday, February 15, 2009. Gaining Insight Through Enduring to the End (WA). My own "conversion" has been a process over time, including a long stretch of inactivity. Move forward about eighteen months later: We have bled money, lost just about everything we have, put family money. But nothing in terms of direction that I earnestly and constantly sought. We sold the business, and this year dealt with the aftermath. And boy hav...

Sharing the Gospel: Personal Stories. How Great Shall Be Your Joy (D&C 18:15). Sunday, March 15, 2009. My life and everything has been changed. (India). I grew up in a life-style that most non-members would consider ordinary. My extended family are all Christians. 8221; I replied with a yes. They had called me to set up a day and time to meet. There were some problems in the home with my parents, so I had told the Elders if it was OK to meet at the Church. Because of my friend, she has changed my life in...

Elder Wright's Best Two Years

Elder Wright's Best Two Years. Monday, June 29, 2015. Hello my beloved brothers and sisters! So this week was a pretty great week! My birthday last monday I had some members throw another surprise party for me! An investigator of the other elders made me a cake and a cake of meat! I dont even know her and she made me food haha! The other missionaries love the fact that everyone loves me and not them haha! I was walking and my shoe exploded in the mud! Yup that was funny right! Funny story number three!
