Musings on the Mostly Mundane. Leaving kids home alone. Apr 28th, 2015 at 11:12 AM. Yeah, the whole leaving kids alone thing has been big in the news lately. So it's kinda sad that I have to hesitate before posting this, and think, gee, is someone going to report me to Child Services because of what I'm about to post? But I did nothing wrong - neither according to the laws of Massachusetts nor according to my own personal moral/ethical/parenting sensibility - so the heck with it. This got long as usual.

Musings on the Mostly Mundane. Another summer comes and goes too fast. Aug 25th, 2015 at 1:49 PM. So once again I have woefully failed to keep up on this journal. Alas. But, I return (however briefly? To LJ with a big update, because we had a pretty big summer! Okay, the summer isn't technically over yet, but it sure kinda feels like it because this is the last full week. School starts up again next Wednesday.). Anyway, after Isaac came back, both kids had a week of nothing scheduled (we cobbled together...
