Article of the Week. Exercise… Bad for the heart? Wait- is that some kind of bad joke? The interesting part about the article is the type of “exercise” they refer to is long duration cardio. A link to the New York Times article is below. Conventional fitness wisdom, and most fitness experts, will tell you that you need “cardio.” Cardio has become synonymous with exercise for your heart. And after all, who doesn't want a healthy heart? But shouldn't exercise for a body part make that body part stronger?
