Missions In Peru: Bittersweet

http://missionnperu.blogspot.com/2011/08/bittersweet.html

Wednesday, August 3, 2011. During these months God truly worked among us and the people. In our work in Chaviña we are still in the relationship phase, building a presence among the people. So, it was extremely important for us during these months to establish a presence. Amusing to watch the transition from football to futbol. René that God might open his heart to the gospel. Julia and Katy, who continue to meet with us. That we could place someone in Chaviña long term. That God might start a church.

Missions In Peru: A Change

http://missionnperu.blogspot.com/2011/01/change.html

Wednesday, January 19, 2011. This has become life. The US is almost a distant memory. This is what I know. Peru really is home now. I could not see myself anywhere else in the world. It’s been nearly 2 months since returning from the States and I must be honest. I really appreciated the love from all the family and friends, but it was extremely difficult to be in the States for those 2 weeks. Wal-Mart was like a culture shock for me, I am not used to having that many choices. Right now it looks like I wi...

Missions In Peru: March 2011

http://missionnperu.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html

Friday, March 25, 2011. I left Lima, Peru on a 10 hour bus ride on Cruz del Sur to the capital of Ayacucho, Huamanga. The next day our group of misfits, Arturo Tovar, Patty Arroyo, and yours truly, on Sunday, January 31, took a combie (van-like vehicle) another 4 hours deep into the mountains off a beaten path to finally arrive in Vilcas Huaman. Missions In Peru: April 2011

http://missionnperu.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html

Monday, April 11, 2011. On the 10th, Todd Unzicker's team came in. I praise God for the rejuvenation and encouragement I received from friends that I had not seen in a while. Whether it be from Jeep Sullivan attempting to speak Spanish or simply the good conversation of home that I have not had in a while. Is it not the one who reclines at the table? Links to this post. Missions In Peru: May 2011

http://missionnperu.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html

Wednesday, May 18, 2011. It was the first time that I had preached in Spanish so it was a completely new experience, still God has really done a tremendous job in allowing me to learn the language and with a little patience from the congregation, I was able to preach from Matthew 7. Two weeks later I had another opportunity to preach again in the other church. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Watermark template. Powered by Blogger.

missionnovel | Just another WordPress.com site

Just another WordPress.com site. Stay updated via RSS. What exactly constitutes great writing? What exactly constitutes great writing? Posted: March 7, 2012 in Uncategorized. For myself good writing hits at both the emotional and cerebral level. From a cerebral standpoint strong writing always begins and ends with characters. Are they strong characters and highly fleshed out? Do I connect with them on a mental, emotional, or spiritual level? Do I care about their fates good or bad? Additionally, when it ...

Designed by CSS.Design Sample.

Mission Senora de la Soledad - Introduction

Mission Senora de la Soledad. People and Daily Life. Hardships and Changes to the Mission. The name of my mission is Neustra Senora de la Soledad. My mission was built on October 9 1971. Father Fermin Lassuen, Franciscan missionary, and successor Junipero Serra built my mission. Three reasons my mission was built was because the Spain wanted to gain control of California Indians the priests would teach the language, and they would tell what the California Indians what to do.
