Blogging in Bangkok: 5: quick post

http://lizinbangkok.blogspot.com/2013/12/5-quick-post.html

Monday, December 9, 2013. I spent most of the day preparing for my classes this evening (which, since it's the final week, involved a lot of baking! I've also been packing, planning, researching and making lists. Lots of lists. But it's time to crash and the only thing between me and 7 hours of Zzz's is this post. So I'll keep it brief :). Here are a few of the faces I've had the pleasure of teaching the past 6 weeks. Posted by Liz Swauger. Monday, December 09, 2013. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

The airport is pretty empty, and our flight boards in 20 minutes. So far, so good! Except for having to throw away every water bottle we've bought. (We're at 3.) It would seem that even after security is not safe. Thanks for all your prayers, keep them coming! Looking forward to seeing many y'all soon!

Wednesday, January 22, 2014. Guest post: we're never done serving! Betty was one of the dynamic women I met during my time in Bangkok. She lived in the BSC Community House with me and the other teachers. Many times people have commended me for serving the Lord with my youth. But, I commend Betty, for serving the Lord in her years. I asked her permission to share her story with you. so here it is, in her words. The BSC is always looking for volunteer missionaries to teach English and to share the gospel w...

Blogging in Bangkok: Pray

http://lizinbangkok.blogspot.com/p/pray.html

How can you pray? In a place so saturated by Buddhism, pray that we can be bold and clear in presenting the gospel. Please pray Eph. 6:10-13 for us:. We will be in Thailand from June 2012-December 2013. That is a long time. Please pray that we are able to find rest and comfort in Christ alone during this time, and that He is our sustaining power. Pray Gal 6:9 for us:. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.". Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
