Well, the population of Bermuda is under 70,000, and the match attracts more than 7000 at the venue—so, even a non-maths type can see that’s a significant proportion of the population. Wednesday, January 30, 2008. Recently I had a party in Washington, DC to celebrate Australia Day. When I was inviting American friends, they said, "I didn't even know Australia had. A day," before asking if it were comparable to their Independence Day, the 4th of July. In answering these questions and talking about my country, I realised that in fact nearly every country has a national day, constitution day, liberation day, independence day - or something of the kind. Which inspired this project.
