The Daily Pitch Count. Sunday, September 22, 2013. Breaking Up (a Pass) Is Hard To Do. Oh, National Football League. You make it hard to forgive you, although I keep doing so. I think I said I was done with you last year. Then I came back because, well, just because you were there and I couldn't resist you. But . . . As I say this, of course, Green Bay versus Cincinnati is on the TV, but at least it is on mute. Okay, so maybe I'm just a hypocrite, talking big about being done without doing anything. ...

Tuesday, February 24, 2015. I'm Such A Good Cook When I'm Drunk. The key with cooking, as with most things in life, is to do it while tipsy. To be fair, though, that could be the bourbon. We really have no way of gauging how fascinating we are to our friends and family, and as our life here becomes more and more routine to us, we have less and less to say about it. That said, every day here still brings some new experience, some new emotion, so we'll try to catch you up a bit. After the conference, we burned the last of our vacation time and went to Ancash...

There is darkness, there is pain, there is the worst that humans can inflict upon each other, intentionally or not. But life, like spring, always blooms again. You can bring joy, and you can bring happiness and new experiences. Posted by Devin at 11:50 PM. Wonderful moments. wish I could be there with you! San Francisco, California, United States. Random Thoughts, Organized Chaotically. Tuesday, January 27, 2015. Hidden Gems Of Life. I want to spend my life noticing things. I noticed the first blooming buds on skeletal trees, hopefully not too early. My weight has gone back up, reaching as far as 209, but down to 206 today after my walk. That's success. I have to keep the focus on healthy choices and making progress. That's another gem, making the choice of going for a long walk on a day off, instead of sedentary hedonism.
