Tuesday, August 26, 2014. We met Jason's parents in St. Louis and decided to go to Grant's Farm. It's such a great place and it's FREE! Kota feeding a baby goat at Grant's Farm. The kids got to pet a boa constrictor! A brand new exhibit this year, was feeding parakeet birds. It was a really cool experience, they would perch right on you while they ate! Friday, July 18, 2014. My mom came up to celebrate Easter and Dakota's birthday and we decided to head up to Chicago for a few days. Thursday, February 28, 2013. Since we would be spending Christmas in Kansas, we decided to have our own small Christmas in Illinois, the night before we left for Kansas. It was a really special time together and made it easier to not have to haul all of their presents from us down there. I think this will be a new tradition if we're planning to be in Kansas on Christmas. The evening started with Daddy reading the story of Christmas from the Bible. Sissy got princess stuff! Wednesday, June 26, 2013. On our last day in Kansas, we went to a Royals game! Jaxon is the biggest Royals fan I know and a lover of the game of baseball. Since he was four years old, he has been able to name the Royals' entire starting roster, all of their numbers and positions, and the majority of the pitchers. The kid even knows most of the coaches names and what number they wear on their jerseys. Jason was beyond excited to share this day with Jaxon! My awesome family ready to cheer on the Royals.
