Petes Pond Watchers Group. National Geographics WildCam Africa. Thu, Oct. 6th, 2005, 12:46 pm. Fatty and the dust storm. After days of watching the Pete's pond cam, I finally saw Fatty, early this morning my time (about 3:30 am), which translates to about 12:30 pm Pete's Pond time. He just made a brief appearance on the beach, as far as I could tell. I saw the dust storm at about that time as well. It came rolling over the horizon, even obscuring bushes in the mid distance. Well, back to the pond! Intere...

http://historyfacts.livejournal.com/24948.html
Mary queen of scots. 2nd-Mar-2008 01:33 pm (UTC). I'd love to read more about Ibn Battutah. Exploration is probably my favorite aspect of history, and yet I've heard very little about him. Do you happen to know of any books by him, or about him? Thanks for the interesting post! 3rd-Mar-2008 01:34 am (UTC). I recommend The Travels of Ibn Battutah by Ibn Battutah ed. by Tim Mackintosh-Smith, available on Amazon. 3rd-Mar-2008 01:35 am (UTC). Leave a Comment to the Entry.

Petes Pond Watchers Group. National Geographics WildCam Africa. Thu, Oct. 6th, 2005, 03:37 pm. Just saw what appeared to be two or three small rodents with long tails. At about 12:30 Pete's Pond time. Does anyone know what they might be? Thu, Oct. 6th, 2005 10:49 pm (UTC). I think i just saw them - whatever i saw was really small. no idea what they are. i can't imagine what kind of rodent would need to visit the pond. most of them get their water from plant-matter.
