Lilly had a wet soccer game this evening. it is always fun to watch lilly turn on her after burners and go for the ball. sometimes it seems like she's flying. the girls lost tonight 6-3. they have one more game this weekend - hopefully it will turn out better than tonight. After this interaction she visibly changed. we broke from our hug and immediately got back to work creating our birds. in the end, her depiction of a bird standing on a hill basking in the sun made from torn paper scraps was beyond precious and not only looked completely different than mine but was a true expression of who she is. We finished off the week this fine saturday with a day filled with the beach, sun and soccer. we brought our soccer goals and ball and had a friendly match parents vs. kids.
