If the Stitch Fits: Austin Quilt Con
http://ifthestitchfits.blogspot.com/2013/03/austin-quilt-con.html
March 5, 2013. I got to go to Quilt Con in Austin a couple weeks ago and was so inspired by all the beautiful modern quilts! Some of my favorite designers had quilts on show - it was very exciting. Here is a pic of my favorite quilt from the competition. It is called Techno Flakes by Amy Ellis. It is a great modern take on the hexagons - LOVE! The negative space quilting is also nicely done. I also saw a demo of Mistyfuse. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Sign up to get emails of upcoming classes.

http://leslietuckerjenison.blogspot.com/2015/05/sue-bleiweiss-new-book.html
Tuesday, May 5, 2015. Come play inside Sue Bleiweiss' new book! Invited me to be a contributing artist in her new book I jumped at the opportunity to participate. First, I like and respect Sue as an artist and author. Second, I love to use fusible, and when I say fusible I am ONLY referring to Mistyfuse. Because it is the only kind I use! It works beautifully on a wide variety of quilt and mixed media projects. I love using Mistyfuse on both cloth and paper! Necessary. The main thing to remember if y...

The pieces are tiny! These are the fabrics I make the buildings out of. Each quilt had approximately 25 different fabrics. It's for sale in my Etsy Shop. I think would make a great graduation or birthday gift - everybody loves Boston! Https:/ www.etsy.com/listing/183206698/boston-skyline-rowes-wharf. Links to this post.

Monday, August 03, 2015. A Quilt of My Parents - Ruthie and Ned McKenna. My quilt guild, Thimble Pleasures. In Mendon, MA, holds a challenge every year with the reveal in July. This year the theme was Heritage, which was perfect for I had been wanting to make this quilt for about 5 years. I printed the heads on fabric first, I just knew I couldn't replicate them well enough. I made peace with them in making it. It's about time -. I'll be 50 in December! Links to this post.
