This is Ms. Mitchell's blog for her third grade class at Shorecrest. Monday, April 30, 2012. Due to the ERB testing, there will be no homework, no new vocabulary words, or spelling test this week. The students are thrilled about that! I have asked them to keep practicing their multiplication/division facts at home as well as get a good night's sleep. This is Ms. Mitchell's blog for her third grade class at Shorecrest. Monday, May 13, 2013. The students have been hard at work creating their science projects. The goal was to explore a topic of interest related to our field trip at Sawgrass Lake Park. The students needed to become an "expert" on a topic and how it relates to our Florida environment. The projects will be completed this week and on display for our final Author's Celebration during the final week of school. Wishing you all a wonderful week!

There will be activities all week long, but on Tuesday (our first day back) the children are encouraged to wear a costume of their favorite (or any) book character. They worked hard and learned so much this year, and I will forever remember them as my final class here at Shorecrest. As you know, I have spent 18 years in education.
