The Face of Epilepsy: 01/08/2006 - 01/15/2006
http://epilepsy.blogspot.com/2006_01_08_archive.html
The Face of Epilepsy. This is a chronicled account of preparing for epilepsy surgery and all the fun stuff associated with it. Friday, January 13, 2006. Long time no talk. I just realized it's been since December 2002 since I've posted! Wow that's three years! Our lives have taken many turns in the past three years, but probably our biggest leap is the birth of our daughter in April 2003. Aleice Maelyn arrived six weeks early, but very healthy. She's now a very active 2 1/2 year old! Long time no talk.

The Face of Epilepsy. This is a chronicled account of preparing for epilepsy surgery and all the fun stuff associated with it. Saturday, July 27, 2002. We just got our first bill from Parkland. And it's a doozy! I'm so thankful we have insurance! The bill was $12,257.82.included everything except the doctors from what I can tell. It has a pharmacy charge of $70.if that's the two Tylenol he took, that's a tad expensive! Larry had his longest seizure-free spell in a while this week! Posted by L @ 3:14 PM.

The Face of Epilepsy. This is a chronicled account of preparing for epilepsy surgery and all the fun stuff associated with it. Thursday, August 29, 2002. We've spoken to the neurologist again. Good news is that Larry has only had 9 seizures (including his "dizzy" spells) this month! The side effects of the Lamictal have improved.no more itching that he complains of, at least! We really haven't noticed any other side effects, either. What a blessing, eh? He still looks great. ;-). Posted by L @ 1:22 PM.

The Face of Epilepsy. This is a chronicled account of preparing for epilepsy surgery and all the fun stuff associated with it. Friday, July 19, 2002. After reading Larry's reports more thoroughly, the MRI does also confirm the brain is misshapen in the left occipital lobe. So.all his tests DO concur about the seizures happening there! We are discussing about the possibility of him losing part of his vision. The occipital lobe controls the vision. The doctor mentioned that he would more than likel...So we...

The Face of Epilepsy. This is a chronicled account of preparing for epilepsy surgery and all the fun stuff associated with it. Tuesday, July 09, 2002. We truly enjoyed our first night back home in our bed. :) This morning has been hectic trying to get caught up with work issues and unpacking, but I'm starting to be able to breathe again. I'm tired.totally exhausted.but there's no rest for the wicked around here! Sohere are the photos: http:/ pages.ivillage.com/themitchells02/oursite/id4.html. Larry is pr...

The Face of Epilepsy. This is a chronicled account of preparing for epilepsy surgery and all the fun stuff associated with it. Saturday, July 06, 2002. Well, the verdict is TOMORROW. Boohoo. We'll survive, I suppose. We just really miss Alex. We mainly just slept this afternoon. Larry is still really dizzy and pretty wiped out. I'm wiped out emotionally after all this. So we've enjoyed just lying around today. Oh! Best thing in the world. WE BOTH HAD HOT SHOWERS THIS AFTERNOON! We give the glory to God!

The Face of Epilepsy. This is a chronicled account of preparing for epilepsy surgery and all the fun stuff associated with it. Tuesday, October 01, 2002. Sorry it's been so long since the last update! It's been crazy around here. After that last positive update, things changed for the worse. Larry's seizures have increased and he's had at least one more grand mal since I last posted. He's back to having 2-3 seizures a day. So very frustrating when we thought the Lamictal was our hope! It's very exciting ...

The Face of Epilepsy. This is a chronicled account of preparing for epilepsy surgery and all the fun stuff associated with it. Sunday, October 27, 2002. Well, a quick update here. He'll be off it in another 2 weeks. Yay! Larry's appointment on October 16th went very well. The doctor decided to push his Keppra up and take him off the Carbatrol. So now we'll be doing that a TAD differently than planned, but that's okay! The best news is that Larry has only had one "dizzy" spell (mildest seizure) in October!

The Face of Epilepsy. This is a chronicled account of preparing for epilepsy surgery and all the fun stuff associated with it. Saturday, December 28, 2002. Larry is doing incredibly well on his new medication combination. He is now on Keppra and Lamictal and having very few of the smallest seizures he has. Praise God! He seems to have them in clusters through the month.not continually. He is driving back and forth to work now, but not really on the long trips, unless I'm just too tired to go on. Christma...

frustrations at its finest | III
Frustrations at its finest. September 2, 2013. Finally applied some painting techniques on here that I learned a few weeks ago. I still need more grip on it though, especially on the lighting. But I really had fun doing it, considering this was the first digital painting I spent three weeks working on. And yes, I am fascinated with jellyfishes which is the sole inspiration for this artwork. Don’t get attached. August 18, 2013. Unless it’s Rainbow Rowell’s Attachments book, then please do.
