I am an Island. Just off the coast of Australia but a whole world of difference. June 25, 2009. It was perfect timing and I had a good laugh watching it on the monitor that shows us the front desk. The bat continued to fly around the reception girls for a while and none of the guests seem to even notice it was there. With those visitors and the possum who regularly likes to jump into the muesli bowl in the buffet and have a feed, the wildlife is certainly entertaining! Thanks for being such a supporter 🙂.

There are other factors in my life pulling me to move away. But part of the relief I will feel when I leave the island is that I will never be waiting for a call to come in that someone I know is injured and its my responsibility to get help to them. For many years I’ve wanted to be in management and I love everything about overseeing a team of staff. In my spare time I read books on staff development and communications skills. I am an Island. Just off the coast of Australia but a whole world of difference. July 22, 2009. The graveyard shift runs from 10pm to 6am which is just an unnatural time to be awake. As a supervisor I don’t often have to do them but occasionally roster myself on for that shift to give the other girls a break. At the moment I’ve done 2 out of 4 and I am hating every minute of it. Here’s hoping the next two graveyard shifts pass quickly and that I don’t have to do anymore for a while! Laquo; Hotel Base Jump.

A lady called and asked to be put through to a guest in one of our hotels. I did so and then received a call from the husband telling me I wasn’t to put anyone through and should tell anyone who called that I had made a mistake and that he wasn’t staying at the hotel. Shock Termination | I am an Island

Yesterday one of my employees was charged by police detectives for stealing credit cards from other staff members in our team.
