Sunday, January 29, 2012. Day at the Beach. Toby's baseball team had their end of season party at Ala Moana Beach Park today so we packed up the kids and Jamie and headed down for some fun in the sun. We realized why we don't go to the beach that much - we have to bring the whole house! Oh my goodness did we pack a lot. It was exhausting. The girls had a blast and can't wait to go back. Tuesday, May 29, 2012. Fun in the garden. Our new project for the girls is gardening. They planted (with help from dad) tomatoes, strawberries, peppers, basil and a bunch of flowers. They have a new chore to water their garden every day. We can't wait for the first fruits! Memorial day BBQ - catching some sun. Emily was on hand to supervise. Friday, January 25, 2013. I chaperoned Maddie and Katie's first field trip - we went to the Living Art Marine Center. It was fun (and exhausting for mommy) and we learned about fish and hermit crabs and even got to touch a ton of different crabs too. On the bus - this was by far the most exciting part of the trip for all the kids. Maddie and her boyfriend, Ryder. He used to be Katie's boyfriend but is now Maddie's. Katie has moved to on Trey. Tuesday, January 22, 2013. Swimming and random January things. We have a little bit of catching up to do so here we go! Emily went swimming for the first time on Monday - she loved it! Here she is in Katie's old swimsuit. In our huge backyard swimming pool: Maddie, Toby and Emily, Katie. Maddie and Katie had fun too. Emily was splashing up a storm. Tuesday, November 1, 2011. Maddie and Katie turned 2 on Friday! We can't believe it - time sure does fly by. Since it was the end of their first week of school, we celebrated with a small family dinner at our house. Papa Rod got them an ice cream cake - YUM! They ate every last bite. And asked for more. Friday, August 31, 2012. The girls are still loving their new preschool. There is a bit of resistance when I drop them off in the morning but a LOT of resistance when I pick them up - they do not want to come home. Saturday, June 30, 2012. Miya and Thomas are home for the summer -YAY! The girls talk about them nonstop so we went to their place to have a playdate the day after they arrived.
