台湾 台南市 白馬将軍廟 から日本軍神 吉元将軍 が祖国 日本、わが水屋神社にご帰還、鎮座されました 神社斎館にてご神宝としてお祀り申し上げています。 昭和三七年 一九六二年 、台南市 中山女子中学の整地の折、台湾の中興の祖と呼ばれる鄭成功軍の部将である謝府以下、一 六七名の骨壺がこの場所で発見された。 謝府は福建省 海戸出身の歴戦の勇士で、一六六一年 明 永暦一五年 、二千余の部隊を率いて台湾攻略の先鋒となり、オランダ軍と五ヶ月に及ぶ激戦の末、その部隊共々全滅したのだという。 そもそも 水屋神社のお水祭り の由来ですが、神社西方700ｍのところにある 閼伽桶 あかおけ の井 から、清和天皇貞観元年 859 11月9日より春日大社への奉納を始め、正月暦を創ったといわれていますが、天正5年 1577 の兵乱で途絶しました。
