iCandi: September 2006
http://toileandvelvet.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 26, 2006. I think it is our maternal duty to believe that our children are the smartest, brightest, most beautiful. Having said that, Willow did two things recently which surprised even me. First one we had been for a walk and I was wearing a puma t-shirt which has a puma on it (obviously). She pointed to it and said ‘cat! Now, I wouldn’t think that the puma logo is really that recognisable, but I asked her later what it was and she said ‘cat! Posted by candi @ 7:01 PM. Last night he w...

Liv's Sewing and Cooking Creations. I am Olivia. LOOOVE sewing and seeing my creations worn by happy children! I also loooove cooking. Tuesday, January 23, 2007. I got this as a remnant at Lincraft. Its a light blue light cord. The wheather has been a bit colder lately and DD1 is still wanting to wear skirts! So i thought i would make her a heavier skirt. Found this trim in my basket. The waist band is a bit wonky - but that is ok - will be covered up with a shirt! Posted by Liv at 8:24 PM. Am TOTALLY ha...

iCandi: July 2006
http://toileandvelvet.blogspot.com/2006_07_01_archive.html
Saturday, July 29, 2006. I have been busy making new stuff, swap stuff and researching an idea that I have had in my head for a little while now. I'm currently using this as my hand bag - it's nice and roomy, an essential characteristic of handbags for me! Another bag I made, using a totally different pattern. I'm not 100 percent happy with the dimensions, but I'll know for next time. It is a small size 3, so it looks huge on Willow! Posted by candi @ 7:05 PM. Tuesday, July 11, 2006. I have a long list o...

Sewing: May Sewing Projects
http://kay-sewing.blogspot.com/2006/05/may-sewing-projects.html
Sunday, May 28, 2006. It seems silly to get excited about fabric but I was a little excited when my Amy Butler. Fabric came in the mail last week. I'm still not sure what to make with it, it's got so much potential in it's current form but when I cut it cup and make it into something then that's it. I made a skirt with matching pants with the kewpie doll fabric, I didn't make the pants till late so no photos but this has become a new favourite for Kimberly whcih makes me very happy.

Sewing: July 2006
http://kay-sewing.blogspot.com/2006_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 31, 2006. I haven't been doing much sewing lately, mainly because I've had to take work home and also because David has been feeling a bit neglected. I made a skirt for myself on the weekend it was supposed to be a dress but I didn't like the way the top section turned out so I cut it off and made it into a skirt. Kimberly modelling the top that Sam made for the sewing swap. The top is absolutely gorgeous and gets lots of wear. Thank you Ingrid we love everything and you are so talented.

Sewing: July Sewing Projects
http://kay-sewing.blogspot.com/2006/07/july-sewing-projects.html
Sunday, July 02, 2006. Last day of the month already. I managed to get a few hours of sewing done on the weekend I made bags to hold Kimbelry's birthday party favours. I made 4 of the ones pictured and am in the process of finishing 4 dark denim draw string backpacks for the boys (with sock monkey applique). I received a parcel from Germany last night full of Oilily fabric that I had ordered several months ago. I was a bit unsure when I made this purchase because of the cost but now that the fabric h...

Sewing: June Sewing Projects
http://kay-sewing.blogspot.com/2006/06/june-sewing-projects.html
Monday, June 05, 2006. I have changed my settings so that anyone can now leave comments! I finally got around to doing some applique last night and here is the result. The tops turned out OK, I just used Bonds tops. The first top was a bit tricky because I cut around the pattern so there were lots of corners so the second time around I didn't cut around the pattern as much and it was much easier to sew on. Sewing machine and overlocker. We had a very busy weekend activity wise so I didn't get much time f...
